How to get more value with the Watsons Membership Card

Titas, here’s another one to add to your bursting rewards cards holders! Last year, Watsons came out with its very own loyalty card program, and they’re doing their very best to live up to their tag line, Watsons members get more.

You may access a world of benefits for life with a one-time membership fee of only P100. There are no renewal fees, and registering your card takes seconds in any Watsons branch.

At first glance, you have the typical points scheme that earns you 1 point per P200 spend. Using accumulated points to pay for your purchases is also pretty standard. But like they said, Watsons members get more.

Where the Watsons Card truly stands it out is in its points generation features. Cardholders earn more points when they shop at Watsons online, plus they get free shipping for a minimum P1200 purchase. P1200 might sound a bit steep, but I personally do buy so much from Watsons anyway, it will be easy to adhere to the most important tenet of my shopping religion and beliefs.

You also earn 2x points for Watsons brands purchases! My mind immediately goes to the tissue packs and liquid soaps I regularly stock up on. Watsons offers a lot of Switch and Save options for all your beauty and hygiene essentials that are cheaper than name brands, and it’s so cool that you even get rewarded for choosing the economical option. Finally, your first purchase on your birthday month earns you 5x the points. For me, that will be in April, so I’m so excited and already preparing my shopping list!

Card holders are also entitled to exclusive discounts. You may have seen these “Member Exclusive” signs online and in-store, with special buy one-take one deals and discounts. Why pay full price when these options are available, right? Que horror!

That’s not where it ends. As a final touch, members also get dibs on new products and invites to members-only events, like movie block screenings and trips. I actually got to attend a special block screening of Captain Marvel on the same day it opened in cinemas, and that’s just a taste of what’s to come for Watsons members.

I’m definitely ready to get more with my Watsons Membership Card, and expect that it’ll be one of the most used cards in my wallet. You can easily get one, too, by visiting any Watsons store and purchasing the Watsons Card for just P100. Happy shopping!
