Review: The EB Daily Dose Setting Spray

If you've ever carefully applied your makeup in the morning, only to find it fading or sliding off by mid-day, you're not imagining things. Heat, sweat, oil, and even the natural movement of your face throughout the day can wear down your makeup faster than you'd like. That’s where setting sprays come in.

A setting spray acts as a final step that helps lock everything into place - your foundation, blush, contour, even eyeshadow - by forming a light film over the skin. Think of it as hairspray, but for your face (minus the crunch). Some sprays are made to mattify, others to hydrate or add glow, but the best ones manage to do all that without disturbing the makeup underneath or leaving a sticky residue.

That brings us to the EB Daily Dose Setting Spray SPF 30 PA+ (P345 / 60 mL), a multitasker that sets makeup, adds a bit of hydration, and offers sun protection all in one step.

The first thing you’ll notice about this setting spray is the mist - it’s fine, but strong. It covers the face evenly without drenching it or leaving large droplets behind. It dries down quickly, which I appreciate, because nothing ruins a look faster than a spray that takes too long to set or disturbs the base you just worked so hard on.

Performance-wise, this holds up well. My makeup looks fresh for a good 3 to 4 hours before I notice any fading, which is solid for a formula that doesn’t feel heavy or overly matte. It helps maintain the skin's natural finish and seems to reduce the need for midday touch-ups, especially around the T-zone. If you're layering cream products or want to blend powder with skin more seamlessly, a light misting of this can help everything mesh together.

The added bonus here is the SPF 30 PA+. While it shouldn’t replace your dedicated sunscreen (you’d need much more product for that), it’s a nice form of supplemental protection, especially useful for retouching if you’re out during the day and don’t want to disturb your makeup. And while many SPF-infused products can feel greasy or smell strongly of sunscreen, this one feels and smells refreshingly light.

At P345 for 60mL, it’s priced reasonably considering its multi-use benefits. It’s not claiming to be a 16-hour makeup lockdown spray, and it doesn’t need to. What it offers is reliable wear, added sun protection, and a way to make your makeup look better, longer.

Setting sprays might seem optional, but if you’re someone who invests time into your base, they make a real difference. A few spritzes can keep everything looking polished for longer, and in the case of EB Daily Dose, it does so without fuss.
