Sequins, Stars, and Scarlet Lips: Inside the Dior Circus of Dreams 2025

Last Thursday, I found myself whisked away from my normal busy life and into a world of fantasy and flair. Dior Beauty Philippines hosted an exclusive event at Medusa in BGC, and the venue shimmered with old-world glamour and modern magic. Ballet dancers floated across the room and guests sparkled in their best circus-chic ensembles. The occasion? The unveiling of Dior’s much-anticipated Holiday 2025 Collection, themed the Circus of Dreams.

As the name suggests, this year’s celebration is an invitation to relive the awe of childhood under a big circus tent, minus the popcorn, but plus a whole lot of gold. Inspired by Christian Dior’s fascination with astrology, dreams, and spectacle, the collection plays on the fantastical spirit of a circus through luxurious beauty creations with limited edition gilded designs.

The Makeup: Dior’s Show-Stopping Holiday 2025 Collection

Peter Philips, Dior’s Creative and Image Director for Makeup, pulled out all the stops with this year’s holiday offerings. Think: rich pigments, glimmering finishes, and collectible cases that double as vanity décor.

Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo (P3,300) is the star of the show, quite literally. It’s a two-step lipstick that starts ultra-matte and, with a press of the lips, reveals a glitter explosion. Finish it off with the high-shine gloss on the other end, and voilà, your lips become the main event. Of course, there’s the iconic 999 Red, but I personally loved 747 Flame (a fiery brick) and 220 Ribbons (a soft rosy nude). There are 10 shades in total, each a nod to the spectacle of a show well performed.

The classic Rouge Dior (P3,300) returns in gold-dressed tubes and four dramatic finishes. There's 210 Circus (a soft satin nude), 629 Parade (a velvet rosewood), and a new 010 Crystal sparkle shade that catches light like a disco ball, but for your lips.

For complexion, the Dior Forever Glow Luminizer in 001 Dior Star (P4,550) is subtle radiance in powder form. Meanwhile, the Forever Glow Maximizer in 001 Abracadadior (P3,350) liquid highlighter adds an ethereal glow with no wand required.

And here I’ve got some happy news for blush lovers. The Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush (P3,500) now comes in three new shades: 810 Starry Pink (a sweet satiny rose), 830 Fiery Red (a bold scarlet), and 850 Starry Mauve (a soft shimmer violet). These adapt to your skin’s pH, giving that just-pinched flush that looks like you're blushing from inside.

For the eyes, the Diorshow 5 Couleurs (P5,400) palettes come in 912 Plum Parade (dreamy purples) and 636 Fiery Circus (a warm kaleidoscope of gold, orange, and red). Pair them with the Diorshow Stylo (P1,950) liners in 187 Pearly Plum or 951 Pearly Rose Gold for a look that lasts through every curtain call.

Don’t forget the nails: Dior Vernis (P2,000) is back in show-stopping 124 Gold Circus and moody 690 Plum Parade, perfect for adding that final touch of drama.

The Advents

Beyond the makeup, the entire Circus of Dreams collection is steeped in storytelling. The Malle des Rêves, an opulent advent trunk, houses Dior’s most prized creations in 24 golden drawers. There are also scented greeting cards, perfumed tree ornaments, and a holiday-exclusive “Piste aux Étoiles” candle that smells like caramelized almonds and cotton candy, yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds.

The much-awaited Dior Advent Calendar is also available in the Philippines, with 24 compartments that hold a mini treasure inside.

Whether you’re shopping for someone else or planning your own beauty encore this season, Dior’s holiday collection invites you to embrace the magic, the sparkle, and the joy of being a little extra. Because really, isn't that what the holidays - and makeup - are all about? Visit Dior boutiques nationwide to enjoy the season’s delights.
