Most of us are stuck indoors for the rest of summer, yes, but the tropical fun doesn't have to be shoved to the side and forgotten, yes? blk Cosmetics' Wondermelon Edit captures summer fun all year round with a skincare collection that feels as refreshing as it looks! The products contain watermelon seed oil that refreshes and hydrates. Here's the report of what I've tried!

The Collagen + Vitamin E Makeup Removing Wipes (P169 / 30 sheets) effectively clears away water-resistant makeup without causing any stinging to my eyes or the rest of my skin. The material of the wipes is fairly standard stuff. It exfoliates without feeling too abrasive. All the products in this line have a watermelon scent, but this one has a distinct tartness to it.

While the Skin-Hydrating Ultra-Fine Mist (P449 / 60g) is indicated for use as a pre-makeup prep or a post-makeup setting spray, I’ve actually been using it as a light, hydrating toner. And you know what? It works that way just fine. The runny consistency makes it a light hydrator rather than a bona fide moisture lotion, but the level I’m getting is comfortable for both day and night use in this weather. No sticky or tacky feels, and I’m thankful that I can just do a hands-free spritz-and-go. The scent for this is more candy-like and reminds me of watermelon-flavored gum.

For a gel-type formula, the Fresh Aqua Jelly Moisturizer (P429 / 30g) brings its A game. The texture is light, but with a slight pudding-like bounciness. The formula is quickly absorbed by the skin and though there isn’t much viscosity to it, the moisture actually sticks around. By the next morning, I can sense a soft bounciness remaining, kind of like a much lighter version of a sleeping pack.

A one-step option exists in the Hydrating + Brightening Glow Mask (P129). I put the mask on while watching an episode of Sweet Home. The hydrating liquid feels like a light essence or toner, not particularly goopy. There was a tingly sensation the entire time the mask was on. And though the instructions indicate up to 30 minutes wear, I suggest you stick to the standard 20 minutes max. Mine started to feel so dry by minute 25. The scent of this is lighter than the other products in the collection, so you won’t have to worry about getting overwhelmed with fragrance the entire time you have the mask on.

My nightly ritual is made complete with a swipe of the Fresh Lip Treatment Oil (P299 / 4.6g). Now, I have used several brands of lip oil, and they can get to lip gloss levels of tacky to give that lip mask coating. This one? Not at all! Despite the consistency appearing thick from the tube, it really does glide on like oil without feeling too slick. There is supposed to be a tint to this, but the effect is super subtle on my naturally pigmented lips. It registers like a color-changing lip balm without leaving a stain in its wake. Best of all, the pout hydration lasts until the next morning!
