How to Take Your Content to the Next Level: What We Learned from the Beauty Creator Summit 2025
Following the success of the first-ever Beauty Creator Summit last year, it was only a matter of time before the second one came to life. The Beauty Creator Summit 2025 took place last November 22 at KMC Solutions, One Ayala in Makati, hosted by the ever-energetic Mica Pineda. While last year’s event centered on branding basics and beginner-friendly tips, this year’s summit leveled up with conversations on collaborating with beauty brands and taking the leap beyond content creation, like launching your very own brand.

The first segment, In Good Company, was a thoughtful conversation on the evolving relationship between brands and content creators. It featured industry leaders Denice Sy, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Ever Bilena; Joel Martin Andrade, Creative Director of Issy; and Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez, CEO of Happy Skin and blk Cosmetics. Each shared insights from the brand side., such as what they look for in creators, how partnerships are built, and why authenticity is essential for meaningful, long-term collaborations.

For brands, building and nurturing a community is key. As Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez put it, “We get influencers and creators because we want to tap into your community.” Denice Sy emphasized that it’s not about having millions of followers—what matters is creating authentic content that truly resonates with your audience.
Joel Andrade encouraged beauty content creators to “always show up for the brands,” especially during experiential events. These moments are more than just gatherings. They're invitations to become part of a brand’s community. And when you’re genuinely involved, your own community naturally follows and becomes part of that journey too.
The second segment, Content to Commerce, explored what it really takes for creators to successfully build their own beauty brands—beyond the filters and followers. Moderated by Liz, the panel featured Raiza Contawi, founder of Enigma Beauty, and Teree Daisuke, co-founder of Tillo. These are two creators who’ve transformed their beauty content into thriving businesses. Both shared honest insights on the realities of entrepreneurship, the power of community, and the courage it takes to build something that reflects your personal vision.
Raiza, a beauty content creator on YouTube, and Teree, who’s made his mark on TikTok, couldn’t help but laugh over the stark differences in how they create content. Raiza films with a full setup and takes her time with editing, while Teree keeps things spontaneous—just his phone and a quick upload. Despite their contrasting styles, both have successfully built loyal communities that supported their leap into beauty entrepreneurship.
When it comes to building a business, Raiza shared that she’s been passionate about it since 2021 and had been quietly working on Enigma Beauty ever since. Her biggest lesson? That you’ll never be 100% ready, and sometimes, you just have to take the leap. She opened up about the challenges of formulating the base products for Enigma, particularly the struggle to match every skin tone perfectly. It was a tough realization, but one that taught her to handle criticism with empathy. Raiza now chooses to look on the bright side, believing that even the harshest feedback may come from someone who genuinely wanted to love the product, but it just didn’t work for them.

Teree, on the other hand, admitted that going into business wasn’t exactly part of his original plan. But he was also realistic as he knew that life as a content creator might not last forever. So when his current business partners approached him with a proposal, he took a leap and started discussing what kind of product line would make the most sense for him and his audience. That’s how Tillo was born, focusing on beauty accessories. It was a strategic choice: Teree wanted to avoid clashing with his brand deals in makeup, and his partners were already in that space. More than that, he envisioned Tillo’s products as your “makeup besties”, the kind that spark joy and make you feel beautiful just by using them.
Teree is hands-on in product development, and he's had to learn how to strike the right balance between quality and affordability. Like any founder, he’s faced criticism. But even when it stings, he takes it constructively, using the feedback to improve and inspire future launches.
The Beauty Creator Summit 2025 wrapped up the year on a high note, offering creators the perfect space to connect not just with brands, but with fellow beauty enthusiasts, too. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as attendees took part in fun activities that introduced them to a variety of beauty brands. On top of the Project Vanity loot bag that came with every ticket, guests also got to take home surprise PR kits, a generous treat that made the experience even sweeter.
It’s truly an exciting time to be a beauty content creator in the Philippines. The local beauty scene is vibrant, ever-evolving, and full of potential. With creators becoming brand builders and brands embracing authentic voices, the future looks bright and beautifully inclusive. So - what would you love to see next?
The Beauty Creator Summit 2025 wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of its brand sponsors: KMC Solutions, Ever Bilena, Hello Glow, BW Women, Careline, Beautybox Corp, Shiseido, Lancôme, GRWM, Byfina, Happy Skin, Strip + Browhaus, In Touch Community Services, Skinstitute, and But First, Coffee, Mise En Scene, Kanebo, and Certified Calm.
