Here’s what went down at BDJ X Project Vanity Beauty Confidential

The BDJ Beauty Bootcamp has been a much-anticipated annual event for kikays to discover new brands, deepen their beauty knowledge, shop exclusive deals, and meetup with fellow Bellas. This year was extra special to us as Project Vanity co-presented the event with Belle de Jour, and it was a Sunday packed with fun activities at the Glorietta Activity Center. We're so happy that around 300 people visited us that day! If you weren't able to make it and wonder what you missed, here’s a recap of what went down.

An assortment of workshops were conducted every hour during the event for special interest topics related to health and beauty. Sports and TV personality Gretchen Ho set the mood with a Q&A sesh that revealed intimate beauty secrets for Carefree and Lay Bare. Fierce in 4-inch heels, Martin Orosa of Ever Bilena emphasized the importance of "hiyangan" in skincare before demonstrating a step-by-step Fierce Beauty LOTD.

Bioderma presented the professional secrets to great skin with dermatologist Dr. Irene Vitas, while Ellana Minerals founder Theresa Carbonel-Buenaflor talked about how makeup can be used to transform your look without causing further irritations to the skin. PV's very own Liz and Den took to the stage to represent In Her Element and share their self-care skin regimens. Lastly, Zenutrients taught participants how to be their own oil-bularyos by formulating their own healing oil concoctions according to what they need.

Aside from attending the workshops, guests got to shop special event deals and take home samples and freebies galore! Bioderma and Pink Sugar offered special bundle deals like five lippies for P500 (seriously). Nearly all the booths had fun games where you could play pachinko, spin the wheel, or even hula hoop your way into a prize. BYS held a workshop on dramatic beauty looks with makeup artist and PV girl Kristel Yap. Smiles were kept clean and fresh with Listerine's post-gargle selfie booth while lipstick lovers got to swatch away with Revlon’s newest release, the edgy Street Chic collection. Of course, In Her Element and Project Vanity had a pop up store for the day.

There were giveaways galore! The first 100 early bird arrivals received gifts upon event registration. Shoppers could join the bi-hourly raffle for every P500 purchase at the beauty fair. For the social media savvy, BDJ picked an hourly winner for posts covering the event with our special hashtags. Of course, VIP pass holders also got to take home loot bags valued at over P3,000 each, so everyone got to go home with a fabulous beauty haul!
