This works: The Tony Moly Naturalth Goat Milk Pure CC

I got the Tony Moly Naturalth Goat Milk Pure CC (P1,198) a couple of months back. After swatching it the first time, I chucked it in the back of a drawer, intending never to use it. Why? It's literally white. I didn't know how it could possibly suit my medium skin tone! I shook my head, lamented the limited shade selections of Korean brands, and moved on with my life.

Recently though I opened the drawer and saw it again. I thought, hey, I shouldn't have been so hasty. It might just work! It's not like I'm a stranger to uber light CC creams; there's a way to make these creams look fantastic, if the Tony Moly one is what I think it is. And it is. Once I got past the stand-offish white color I realized that it's actually highly blendable when applied with the proper tools - that is, the fingers.

CC creams aren't really meant to be perfect shade matches. If you wanted that, there are BB creams and real foundations for the job. CC creams are meant to correct the complexion by brightening it and/or neutralizing discolorations. They were never meant for coverage, really. Instead their mission is to push our skin from average to stunning!

Thick swatch: The shade I have, 01 Pure Milk, is literally white. There is a 02 Beige Milk shade that has a slight yellow tint for darker skin.

That's why I love the Tony Moly Goat Milk Pure CC. It brightens my skin instantly and serves as a great base for whatever foundation I'm wearing. It also has SPF 30 PA++, so it gives me extra sun protection. It's easy to blend on my skin as long as I use my fingers, and ends up adjusting to my color after about half an hour. It looks practically invisible once covered with power foundation.

On the left is my totally bare face, on the right I've applied a generous amount of the Pure CC. My face looks half a shade lighter but not overly so, I think. Notice how the area around my lips and chin look more even!

The catch: the whiteness of it shows up in pictures taken with flash. This is an everyday base; don't wear it if you think you're going to be photographed.

Here's the full look. My face looks so flawless! I just wore concealer and powder foundation after, nothing fussy.

It can be considered as a skincare product. It's main ingredient is Goat Milk Extract, which is said to smoothen, brighten and hydrate the skin. True enough my skin always feels nice after I remove this, and I don't dry out even in cooler weather.

Overall, I recommend the Tony Moly Naturalth Goat Milk Pure CC to anyone who needs a brightening and hydrating base. This may be just what you need to get your skin looking Korean-level flawless!
