Event Spotting: the Shu Uemura Shupette Collection Launch

Cat lovers, rejoice, for the Shu Uemura Shupette Collection is here! It's the brand's 2014 Holiday offering featuring no less than Karl Lagerfeld's beloved, spoiled cat. Shupette has an enviable lifestyle, luxurious white fur, and startling blue eyes - three themes that stand out in this lovely selection of products.

At the launch last week, Shu uemura flew in International Artistic Director Kakuyasu Uchiide to present the  collection to VIP customers and media guests through a live demonstration. He showcased a captivating cat eye look inspired by the collection’s Parisienne chic and Tokyo kawaii mood. 

Shupette features a few products for us to drool over: the Shupette Has-It-All Eye & Lip Palette which comes with eight eyeshadow and lipstick shades, while there are two Eye-Need-Shu Trios for a more compact affair. There is the Parisienne Chic Palette, which contains shades of glitter black, pastel blue, and cool gray; and the Tokyo Kawaii Palette, which contains shades of burgundy brown, bright pink, and ivory yellow.

Shupette’s Lip Bonbon Formula is also a new innovation, using a fresh oil base lip colour that was developed for vivid, candy-colours and luminous luster. It similarly comes in two trios, Parisienne Chic and Tokyo Kawaii—with the first palette featuring shades of magenta, violet, and pink; and the second featuring shades of salmon pink, deep red, and deep pink.

You can also check out the new Cheek Blush Duo, Drawing Pencils, Eye Glitter Set, Face Powder, Tsuya Mousse Primer, and the Ultim8 Cleansing Oil in the Shupette packaging. Yes guys, the collection is really extensive! Shu Uemura really goes all out for the holidays!
