Initial impressions: Pond's Age Miracle Dual Action Eye Cream

I remember asking the gorgeous Rissa Mananquil-Trillo what her favorite Pond's product was. She answered quickly and with no hesitation, "The Age Miracle Eye Cream! You should try it!" Jacqe Yuengtian, the Senior Brand Manager of Pond's, also said the same thing. From a brand that has a whole coterie of products to choose from, I think it says a lot that two of Pond's key women vouched for this particular eye cream.

So when I got my full set of Pond's Age Miracle products, I made a beeline for the Dual Action Eye Cream. I've only tried it a couple of times so I can't tell you about its long-term eye moisturizing and anti-aging properties. I'm writing this post because I think that this eye cream makes an excellent pre-makeup product! I consider it as something a little like makeup already.

Why? The eye cream jar has two compartments - one for a pinkish gel-type product and another for a white cream. They look unassuming at first glance, but the swatches reveal differently! The gel is silicon-based and goes matte on skin. It's very similar to pore and wrinkle fillers in texture. It is not as heavy and concentrated as high-end fillers, but it does slightly help fill in fine lines and even sort of plump the eye area.

It makes an excellent undereye concealer base, too. It's similar to silicon primers in that sense. It can help prolong your concealer and make it go on more smoothly with less creasing during the day.

The white cream is also quite interesting. It contains very fine shimmer to instantly brighten those undereyes. If you want a quicky pick me up in that area, use this before your concealer! This is more moisturizing and thicker than the gel cream - as a rule, these kinds of cream textures are more appropriate to use at night.

Spread out

The silicon gel blended in. It feels soft and luxe - you should try swatching it when you can.

The white cream has illuminating properties because of the fine shimmer. It is harder to blend in than the gel so use a smaller quantity.

So there you go! The Pond's Age Miracle Dual Action Eye Cream has instant cosmetic effects that can help enhance your makeup in the undereye area. I'll be using this regularly to check on the long-term effects - wouldn't it be awesome if it also helps lessen lines or at least keep the skin around my eyes elastic and healthy? Only time will tell! I'll let you know how it goes, as usual!

Tried this eye cream before? How was it?
