Gorgeous hair in a box: Find your affordable hair color at Watsons

I believe in the saying that you’re never fully dressed without great hair. The days following my salon treatments are easily some of my best ones, simply because I feel more confident when my hair looks healthy and vibrant from a fresh dye job. But even if I prefer to get salon treatments, I do sometimes feel that it’s an expensive and inconvenient routine considering I travel two hours to my suking hairdresser. So it must have been my lucky day last May 17 because Project Vanity got an invite for the #WatsonsHair event just when my roots were screaming for some badly needed TLC.

Watsons invited members of the press and dared us to color our hair bold with their brand partners Beautylabo, Bigen, Kolours, Lolane, L’Oreal, Revia, and Revlon. Consider me a convert: my DIY hair coloring experience with Kolours took less than an hour, and it’s impressive how evenly the color turned out!

Each box of Kolours Dual Conditioning Hair Color contains a tube of crème colorant and a bottle of colorant developer. Mixing the two together, I applied it evenly all over my hair with the help of a Watsons representative, wrapped my head in cling wrap, and waited 30 minutes. After washing with the Pantene Color & Perm Lasting Care shampoo and conditioner, I had my hair straightened, and enjoyed the rest of the evening with my gorgeous new copper locks!

Watsons also invited Tresemme hair expert Lourd Ramos, celebrity stylist Matt Gozun, Metro’s beauty editor Charmagne Laconico, and Lolane senior hair experts on stage to lecture about proper hair coloring, styling and post-care treatment.

To close the glamorous celebration, fashion It girls and Watsons Influencers Janina Manipol, Chienna Filomeno, Jessica Yang, Cindy Miranda, Bianca Guidotti, and Yvethe Santiago graced the Watsons runway to showcase their new hair looks, colored and styled with Watsons products.

Watsons has undoubtedly outdone itself in being the one stop shop for the modern Filipina with their bigger and bolder hair care offerings this year. If you dare to color your hair bold with Watsons, you might just be rewarded!
