The Weekly Haul: Clinique, L'Oreal, FS Cosmetics and NYX

Let's all exhale together: what a busy week! Now that it's over we can finally turn our sights to more chill forms of busy-ness this weekend (I mean Who Are We Kidding). Let's kick it off with some eye candy by way of the latest releases from our favorite brands!

Clinique just came out with new Chubby Sticks, this time for contouring and highlighting. The one I have here is a deep matte tan called Curvy Contour that totally works for my skin tone - blends so nicely too!

They also have a new attachment for their Sonic System cleansing brush. The Massaging Treatment Applicator is designed by dermatologists to massage Clinique's skin-firming formulas, Repairwear Sculpting Night Cream and Sculptwear Contouring Massage Cream Mask. However, I'm willing to bet that you can use this for your other moisturizers and serums! It's a cooling massager that's quite relaxing.

There's been a lot of buzz about L'Oreal's "powder" lipstick. I finally got a few of them to try! The Tint Caresse promises to be a highly-pigmented, transfer-proof color. It has a "powder" formula that delivers a lightweight, rich, matte stain and silky feel. I use quotes because technically it isn't really a powder; it is a pigment in a fairly dry waxy base. It stains like crazy though, which is why it's so awesome! More about this in my review next week.

FS Cosmetics recently relaunched a classy look and lots of new colors. Off the bat I am loving the Brick Red matte lipstick and the Dusky Rose single eyeshadow. They are absolutely surprisingly beautiful! I should know better though. We should never underestimate local brands, especially one that consulted a veteran makeup artist for their colors and textures.

Lastly, I have a few NYX products in my "to be reviewed" box. They sent over their classic Round LIpsticks in Frappucino, Tea Rose, and Strawberry Milk as well as a couple of summer-worthy Born To Glow Liquid Illuminators (among other things). I actually reviewed the Round Lipsticks way back and loved Tea Rose. It'd be interesting to see if these lipsticks still pass with flying colors after all these years!

And that is that. ^_^ Hope you had fun checking out what's new in the PV stash! Got new finds this week too?
