It's all about pink in the new MAC Flamingo Park Collection

Pink is a color often associated with romance and love. But did you know that more than just a color for Valentine’s Day or things you associate with femininity, pink is actually a powerful color psychologically? Pink is the happiest color because it associates to the one thing you need most to be happy: contentment! Plus, if you’re feeling flustered and fidgety, a little touch of pink can definitely pick you up. Just think about how swiping on the perfect pink lipstick can both literally and figuratively brighten your smile!

You can probably tell that we adore pink here at Project Vanity, so imagine our delight when we learned about MAC’s pink-tastic Flamingo Park collection. Not to sound cheesy, but we were tickled pink when we found out that it’s finally here in the Philippines! Check out what went on at the launch.

The MAC Flamingo Park collection is every pink lover’s dream come true. The line features nine eyeshadows – Hello, There (a matte, soft nude beige), Bird’s Eye View (a satin, hot magenta), Flock & Roll (a matte, light pastel pink), Just Wing It (a satin, mid-tone tan pink), Sushi Flower (a satin, pinky-coral with pink shimmer), and Corduroy (a matte, muted reddish brown) – that retail for P1,000 each.

The collection also offers three pigments: Rose (a frost, rose with copper sparkle), Golden Olive (a high frosted green-gold), and Tan (a frost, muted pinky brown bronze). You can snag these for P1,400 a bottle.

No MAC collection would be complete without lipsticks, and they released nine shades of pink to polish your pout. If you’d like to be on the safe side, try ones that are a bit muted. Please Me is a matte, mute rosy-tinted pink. There’s also Long Legged & Fabulous, a soft baby pink with a pearl finish.

For the in-betweens, you will love Nice to Meet You, which is a deep pink-red with a creamy sheen. Another color that might entice you is Saint Germain, an amplified, clean pastel pink.

If you’re one to wear bold lips, try Be Silly – a hot fuchsia pink with a matte finish. You can also go for Silly, a bright white-pink with a matte finish. Flocking Fabulous is a bright coral-red with a cremesheen and pearl finish. There’s also Have Your Cake, which is a bright magenta with a matte finish.

The collection also features three lip pencils (P1,000 each), five lip glasses (P1,250 each), six powder blushes (P1,400 each), a brush (P2,200), two Technakohl liners (P1,050 each), a beauty powder (P1,400), and two nail lacquers (P750 each).

Are you as excited about this collection as we are? Which products do you have your eyes on?
