This cute galaxy hair iron delivers frizz-free, fuss-free pretty hair

I’m perpetually jealous of people with nice hair. I see people with healthy tresses all the time and wonder, how do they do it?! I had always promised myself to get better at hairstyling, so I welcomed the Healthy Heat Ceramic Styling Iron from Eva NYC with open arms.

Ain’t this the prettiest hair straightener you’ve ever seen?

The Healthy Heat Ceramic Styling Iron (P3,599) claims to give salon-like results at home with minimal damage. It allows the user to adjust the temperature from 60 to above 230 degrees Celsius (140 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit) so the heat can be managed according to hair type. It features a pair of 1.25 inch-ceramic plates that uses negative ions and far infrared heat technology, which is said to give silky, glossy, no-frizz hair. The unique floating ceramic plates design promises no tugging or breaking, and the heat-resistant handle with a 360 degree swivel cord should make for a smooth styling experience. The specs make it sound like the hair tool of my dreams, but does it work as nicely as it looks?

This is how my hair normally looks after air drying. While it may look okay from a distance, a closer look would reveal frizzy, kinky, damaged locks! Years of unprotected heat styling have left my strands unyielding to at home hair treatments. When I do need to style my hair for important events, I normally take about a full hour or so just to get my mane looking sleek and frizz-free. On the day to day, my wavy locks simply live in buns and ponytails 90% of the time, if only so I can avoid looking at my hair.

This hair spray from last year’s Naughty and Nice Kit has lasted me forever!

What I tried to test for myself is whether this pretty styling tool can help me get the job done under 15 minutes because I wanted to see if this is something I could do every day even with my busy schedule. I applied the My Amazing Blow Dry Secret Shake N Spray (P1,315 at Beauty Bar) to protect my hair and went on to work. 10 minutes later, I could see that the improvement on one side was impressive! My hair felt softer and definitely much smoother from when I started. I’ve toned down the puffy volume without resulting to stick-straight hair, and my locks looked bouncy, shiny, and healthy.

Instead of continuing to straighten my hair, I wanted to see what else this styling tool could do so I followed the pamphlet’s instructions for creating wavy hair. What I immediately noticed was how much better the Eva Healthy Heat Ceramic Styling Iron was compared to other tools that I’ve used in the past!

Creating waves usually require twisting my hair as I pull and that normally results into tiis-ganda pulling with other brands. True to promise, the floating ceramic plates allowed me to style my hair without tugging or breaking so I was able to style half my hair in a record time of 15 minutes. That’s still 15 minutes more than I’d like if I were to do my whole head on the daily, but also half the time I would normally take for styling my hair for events!

I am living for these light, easy-to-do curls! I feel one step closer to my French girl aspirations with Eva NYC!

For the price though, I’d have to admit that it’s worth more than I’m personally willing to spend on a single hair tool. Aside from the frizz-free claim (it’s more frizz-less IMO), I find that it managed to do all that it promised too so it does feel like a worthy investment if you’re big on all things hair!

Do you style your hair regularly? What do you think of this pretty styling tool?
