Violette’s A-Bloom!

Keeping up with all things hot and fresh, beauty giant Estée Lauder has brought on a gorgeous, amazingly talented woman to be their new Global Beauty Director. Parisian makeup artist Violette is now part of the EL family! She has worked with topnotch publications such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and her YouTube channel is the best place to learn the secrets of French beauty and style. Her new position at EL means that Violette be overseeing Estée’s digital content but more importantly (at least for us LOL) she will be part of the team creating new and innovative product ideas for the brand. We can also expect to see “How-to” videos for the Estée Lauder company on her channel, which will be super helpful in ensuring that we're maximizing the use of our Estée Lauder products. Look out for those!

Crazy for Crayola

After the success of the Clinique x Crayola collaboration, its no surprise that more brands are hopping on the nostalgia train and making us all feel like kids again. This time, Sally Hansen is teaming up with the well-loved crayon brand and coming out with 12 shades of their Insta-Dri line. Iconic crayon shades Carnation Pink (light baby pink), Dandelion (bright yellow), Cerulean (deep blue), Wild Strawberry (hot pinkish red), Sunset Orange, Granny Smith Apple (bright green), Vivid Violet (deep purple), Scarlet (bright red), Razzmatazz (fuchsia), Denim (royal blue), Purple Heart (gray violet), and White will all be part of the collection. The polishes are packaged in the signature Sally Hansen bottle with the Crayola scribble lines on top. Each polish will retail for $5 and will be available starting July 1. We’re crossing our fingers they land in the PH very soon!

Right on Boi-ing

Known for doing quirky releases, Benefit Cosmetics has decided to revamp and re-launch one of their staple products, the Boi-ing Concealer. They aren’t changing the formula that many have loved and sworn by but the concealer line is getting some new additions! The Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer is a medium coverage, waterproof concealer that aims to conceal unevenness and fine lines, which basically makes it Photoshop in a pot. With its lightweight and soft-focus formula, it doesn’t feel cakey on the skin and promises 10-hour wear.

The Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer (which was the OG Boi-ing) is a heavy duty concealer which targets blemishes, discoloration, and dark circles. The Boi-ing Brightening Concealer (formerly known as Erase Paste) has color correcting properties with brightening melon undertones. Lastly, there’s the Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer (originally called Fake Up) which is the perfect hydrating concealer for dry skin thanks to its Vitamin E and apple seed extract formulation. The entire Boi-ing Collection is already here and we'll be reviewing them very soon so make sure to check back in a couple of days!

Happy Hour!

It still baffles my brain at how many gigantic corporations team up and acquire some of our most loved beauty brands. Unilever can now add “glow specialists and premium luxe bases” to their resume because the company has just acquired Hourglass Cosmetics! Known for their amazing priming filters, silky smooth powders, and luxurious foundations, Hourglass has become a brand that many women want in their kits because of their exceptional performances and gorgeous shades. Now with Unilever stepping in, the two companies hope to continue the high-end cosmetics company with products that not only look good on the skin but have skin care benefits as well. Okay, mostly we're hoping that Hourglass will finally set up a counter here!
