Bobbi Brown is leaving Bobbi Brown

After 25 years, Bobbi Brown is leaving her makeup brand by the end of 2016. Considering how she redefined the makeup culture by advocating its use for enhancing one’s beauty and creating the perfect products to achieve that signature natural glow, it’s hard to imagine Bobbi Brown the brand without Bobbi! She is expected to reveal her future plans by 2017 though, so we’re hoping to hear about her getting on a new beauty or lifestyle project. Meanwhile, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will continue to be overseen by Global Brand President Peter Lichtenthal.

Michelle’s new (ad)venture

From Youtube to Ipsy to em cosmetics, beauty guru Michelle Phan is continuing to keep herself busy with a break from her usual beauty projects. She recently finished the first season of her first webcomic Helios: Femina, a fantasy storyline featuring a young woman in a dystopian world. The best part: it’s available online for free! It’s just the thing to add to your holiday reading list, and the art is stunning. After finishing the first installment, we’re pretty eager to see what’s in store for Rhea, the heroine of the story, as it ended with a compelling cliffhanger!

Back to school with Clarins

Remember when we used to feel like the coolest kid in class because we had a pen that could write in five different colors? You can now relive those days with a grownup, makeup version in Clarins’ newest limited edition multi-tasker. The 4-Colour-All-in-One Pen contains a neutral lip liner and three eyeliners in black, brown, and royal blue. Pegged at $30, it seems like a great deal considering you’d be getting essentially four products. Plus, we imagine it’ll save so much space in our kits! The pen officially launches on January 4, 2017.

Using oil as a primer?

A new addition to the MAC Prep + Prime collection will be released post-Christmas, and you heard it right: it’s a bottle of oil primer. Does that sound crazy? Well, MAC has devised a way to make makeup cling to essential oils, thus creating a new skincare-makeup hybrid that gives skin a gorgeous glow inside and out.

You’ll have options, too. The Prep + Prime Essential Oils will come in three different scents: Grapefruit & Chamomile, Sweet Orange & Lavender, and Yuzu. The blend of citrus and calming scents are certainly most intriguing! MAC will also release the oil primers in stick form for quick touch-ups and easier portability. No word yet when it will be available in the PH, and we’re curious to see how these products will actually perform.
