Beauty Roundup: Celebrating Filipino beauty releases by Happy Skin, blk cosmetics, Teviant, Vice Cosmetics and Strokes!

I’m so excited for this week’s beauty roundup, PV Community! When I was listing down the releases to feature, I instantly noticed that they’re all from Filipino brands. Ah, what a time to be alive! Filipino beauty is thriving and we are given the opportunity to support and champion it in our own way.

All eyes on me

Happy Skin just dropped their newest collection - Holy Grail - and it’s all about the eyes. Focusing on grooming the brows and beefing up the lashes, the collection includes the Microtip Brow Pencil + Brush (P499), Microblade Brow Pen (P499), Brow Gel Laminator (P599) and Volumizing Mascara (P649). And, of course, trust Happy Skin to include skin-caring ingredients - the collection is boosted with peptides, niacinamide and caffeine.

Birthday paints

It’s blk cosmetics’ fifth birthday and to celebrate, they launched five limited-edition mini Creamy All-Over Paints (P329)! The five shades are Palm Springs (drunk blush), High Key (electric pink), Very Peri (vibrant purple), Golden Hour (beach peach) and Tickle Pink (soft pink). These best-selling multi-use paints also come in an exclusive blk chain-link bag. Happy Birthday, blk!

Glazing eyes

New from Teviant are the Multi-Glaze Eyeshadow Pens (P595), which feature two formulas - liquid and cream in a pen stick - that work for both day and night looks. Create an instant eye look with the easy-to-use and creamy pen stick that gives full dimension in one swipe. Then, use the lightweight and long-wearing liquid as a topper or completely on its own. There are five stunning shades to choose from and if, like me, you find it hard to get just one, go for the Bundle of 5 for P2,000!

A surreal blur

There’s a new skin tint on the market and it’s from Vice Cosmetics! The brand recently dropped the Blurrfection Skin Tint (P395), a lightweight skin tint that has a sheer, buildable coverage with SPF30. It also blurs out and balances the skin tone to give a natural skin-like finish. There are six shades that range from light to deep. Oh, and the formula is infused with both macadamia and grapeseed oil. A quick shoutout to my girls Kai and Marj, who are part of the campaign!

Shape and sculpt

Strokes is inviting us to define, shape and contour with their newest release - the Face Sculpt (P398). Coming in four flattering shades - Peanut (cool taupe), Tortilla (light tan), Cinnamon (warm brown) and Espresso (deep chocolate brown), these contour sticks are lightweight, blendable, buildable and long-wearing creams that melt into your skin. They’re also formulated with Vitamin E, sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil to help enhance the complexion of your skin. And yes, more affirmations on the packaging!

Okay, that’s it for this week. See you next time!
