Beauty Roundup: Ever Bilena’s Lip Ink, GRWM’s Glam & Go Stix, SOLA SPF Primer, and IU for Estée Lauder

It’s getting hot in here! This week, we’re keeping it FRESH here at Project Vanity with the latest in beauty. Let’s get to know new local product drops for that perfect summer look from Ever Bilena, GRWM Cosmetics, and Sola. We’re also checking out Estée Lauder’s newest global brand ambassador: multi-talented Korean superstar IU!

Get Ink-spired with Ever Bilena’s new lippie

Matte lip lovers, rejoice! Local beauty brand Ever Bilena has just released a new matte liquid lippie. Meet EB Matte Lip Ink (P220 / 4.5 g), a pigmented, hydrating, waterproof liquid lipstick. Although it has a matte finish, it doesn’t dry out the lips thanks to lip-caring Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. Thanks to its “film-forming formula,” it becomes waterproof when it sets. This means a lip look that won’t budge, without that sticky feeling or parched lips.

Take your pick from six summer-ready shades: Ginger Spice, Melon Milk, Nude Salmon, Fresh Coral, Burnt Red, and Cocodamia.

On-the-go glam with GRWM’s new collection

What travel makeup kit isn’t complete without a multi-use stick? GRWM Cosmetics recently launched a massive face color collection in the form of multi-use cream sticks. We already know they would be thorough with color selection. GRWM Glam & Go Stix (P449/7.2g) is available in a total of 18 shades for blush, bronzer, contour, and highlight, in a variety of finishes and undertones! The long-wearing, buildable formula promises a velvet cream to soft-matte finish. Liz did a mini review with swatches on Instagram when it launched. Spoiler alert: she finds the formula very pigmented and creamy!

The Glam & Go Multiuse Blush Stix comes in seven shades: Fig (medium mauve pink with cool undertone), Pink Malibu (medium rose pink, warm), Pumpkin Spice (medium terracotta peach, warm), Bubblegum (light baby pink, warm), Candyman (light nude coral peach, warm), Sunkissed (deep coral rose, warm), and their iconic shade Pablo's Latte (medium pink, neutral). I’m already eyeing Sunkissed: I think it’s the perfect color for summer! I really like that it blends out easily for a sheer look, and easily builds up when layered for more vibrant color.

Achieve that sun-kissed look effortlessly with the Glam & Go Bronzer Stix. There are a total of five shades: Waffle (fair), Éclair (light), Crème Brûlée (Medium), Crollie (tan), and Toast (deep). These have a velvet matte finish that I think would look flattering on eyelids, too!

The Glam & Go Stix for Contour and Highlight are available in 3 shades each. Create shadows and add depth using Affogato (fair to light), Café Au Lait (medium), and Con Panna (tan). Achieve that radiant lit-from-within glow with Honey Glazed (rose gold) , Coco Jelly (champagne gold), and Maple Syrup (warm bronze gold).

Get your SPF, primer, and skin tint all in one with SOLA Foundation Primer

Looking to switch up to a more summer-friendly face base? SOLA Foundation Primer SPF50PA+++ (P145/ 7mL, P595/ 30mL) is a promising candidate. It promises up to 18 hours of budge-proof wear on its own, even without setting powder. The lightweight formula primes the skin by blurring pores and controlling oil with a natural finish. Aside from giving broad-spectrum protection from UV rays, it also has skin-caring ingredients like Korean Black Ginseng and other botanicals.

It comes in two shades: Light Beige for fair to light skin, and Sand Beige for light to medium skin. I like that it can be used as a primer with other bases, or built up on its own to have more coverage. The best part? It comes in a trial 7g resealable sachet for only P145 if you want to try it out before committing to the full size. I’ll definitely look for this on my next Watsons run! It’s also available online via Lazada, Shopee, and Watsons Online.

IU for Estée Lauder

April 11, 2024: this is the date that IU makes history by being the first ever Korean Global Brand Ambassador for Estée Lauder. The talented singer/ songwriter/ actress/ philanthropist is the new face for the brand’s iconic Advanced Night Repair and Double Wear lines.

“Over the past 16 years, IU has been a pioneer in every aspect of her career, inspiring fans around the world with her talent, passion, and dedication. Beyond her star power, its her sense of purpose and commitment to giving back to others that deeply connects with our brand’s core values,” said Kyumoon Lee, Senior Vice President/General Manager, Estée Lauder Asia Pacific. I couldn’t agree more. She is an excellent choice not only because of her ageless beauty, but also because of her down-to-earth personality that easily connects with people around the world.

IU says, “I am incredibly excited to be joining Estée Lauder. It is an iconic brand founded by an inspirational woman leader and is beloved by so many women around the world. I am truly honored to be part of it.”

And that’s it for this week’s roundup of beauty news! It’s always a pleasure to bring you all the hot, fresh, beauty tidbits locally and around the world. See you on the next one!
