My lips but gorgeous: The Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Baby

When was the first time you ever wore lipstick? I still remember that moment as clear as day. I was maybe five or six years old, and I snuck into my grandmother's bedroom, as kids do when they're bored. My Lola was a makeup artist so she had a vanity table full of fabulous cosmetics. I picked up a gold tube and slathered red lipstick all over my face - just to see what it looks like. Then I spritzed on some perfume for good measure. As it happens, it's a sunflower scent that's still available to this day!

I don't remember if I got in trouble but if I did, it was worth it. That little adventure made me curious about cosmetics. It encouraged me to explore my options once I was old enough to start using makeup. My Lola, bless her heart, is the most influential person to me in that regard.

Anyway, today I want to quickly show you the Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Baby (P1,400). This is part of a capsule collection released a month or so ago (see more in a bit) centered around an angelic, peachy pink color: the Crystal Baby.

I wore this lipstick in an Instagram post some time back and everyone was like, "what are you wearing?!" Crystal Baby is a gorgeous, almost nude lipstick with a luxurious, hydrating formula. It's so wet, I thought that it'd be sheer, but the color pay off is actually pretty good!

Check it.

It looks exactly like my lips but on another level. ^_^ It's not particularly long-wearing (three hours, tops) but I don't mind retouching because it has such a lovely moisturizing texture.

A bit about this look: I wore the Estee Lauder Doublewear BB Cream and the Estee Lauder Pure Color Five Color Eyeshadow Palette in Angel Petal. The palette and Crystal Baby go so well together, no?

Here's the rest of the Crystal Baby collection! There's a Nail Lacquer, Shimmer Lipgloss, and Illuminating Powder. It's a great idea to build a whole collection around one modern, beautiful, and absolutely wearable color.

So there you have it - if you're looking for a new color you can fall in love with and actually wear everyday, check out Crystal Baby! I love the lipstick to bits. Definitely something I would finish up.

Let me know what you think!
