OOTD: The first quarter uniform

This is how I dress most days. Unless there's an event or important meeting I have to be at, I'm in shorts (or in this care, "skorts"), a cotton long-sleeved shirt, and my Converse sneakers. The uniform changes according to the look I'm digging at the moment but right now this is it - functional and utterly comfortable without being too boring.

Forever 21 top | Stradivarius necklace and skorts | Casio watch | Converse sneakers | Tory Burch satchel

I have two of these bottoms from the same brand (the other is tan faux leather) and three of these shirts in different colors. I wouldn't have believed you if you told me a few years ago that I'd be buying duplicates, even triplicates of my clothes now. So how did it happen? Well, mostly I'm too lazy to shop lately, plus I don't have a lot of time to go around checking all the stores I like. If I like something, I get it + other versions of it if they're nice too. :P It's just more convenient.

I think a few people were surprised when they saw me wearing chucks. I admit it's not in keeping with my style today, but a loooooong time ago (approx. in high school) these were my favorite shoes. I even wore them to my senior prom, because I can, alright. I guess I'm wearing them again due to nostalgia as they defined my personality in high school! I also want to get a pair of Vans, because they defined my look in college.

Also, one can't argue with the comfort. High heels simply require too much commitment, most days.

Had a blast being interviewed at the Bobbi Brown event. It's flattering and fun to have cameras aimed at your face, but I've never really mastered how to speak eloquently in front of them. Oh well!

Before I go, I'd like to thank Shari of The Misty Mom for taking my outfit pics, they are amazing! Guys visit her blog, she takes amazing product shots and writes insightful reviews. She's a beauty blogger that I'm sure you'll see more of in the future.

What are you looking forward to this week?
