NOTD: Picture Polish in Shocked

People cope with disaster in different ways. Some eat, some drink, some withdraw under the cool light of the television screen. Some turn to the Internet for the sentiments and a sense of solidarity. Some people can turn nasty when they feel that others aren't as sympathetic as they should be. However, coping isn't something someone else can define for you. If it feels right and if you're not hurting other people with malicious intent, then post that motherduckling selfie.

(I wouldn't recommend it though, if you can help it.)

I wasn't sure if I should blog today, but in the end I just decided that I want to see something bright and pink on my website. Pink makes me happy. The brighter it is, the bigger the smile I have inside. :) Let's not overanalyze that!

I just want to show you a quick swatch of the Picture Polish in Shocked! Picture Polish is an Australian indie nail polish brand. I found out that this color is designed by the blogger behind Shatter Me Claire! How cool an opportunity is that? I would love to have my own personally-designed bottle of nail polish someday.

The color is a bright, slightly gel-ly pink liberally sprinkled with gold-holo flakes. It's waaaay prettier in person than in the photo, since the flakes glimmer prettily in the light. It's opaque in two coats and dries fairly quickly - about 20 minutes. Staying power is average; it's best to add a good top coat to maintain the tips.

Shocked is a nice polish to have if you like the effect of flakies but don't want the extra bother of layering. Unlike other polishes with what are basically big, thin glitters, this particular formula doesn't feel too rough and bunchy to the touch.

So yeah, it's a nice nail polish to have if you like the shade. :) I would love to try out other Picture Polish products in the future!

PS This nail polish was sent to me by Celebrity Nails, a nail salon, but I am not sure if they still sell nail polishes. They had an online store before. Check out their website and Facebook Page if you're interested!

It's sad that during times like this, there are a lot of self-righteous and hypocrites flourishing in the web, bashing the popular ones. It's such a pain in the eye. But this nail polish sure isn't! So cool that the person behind this is a blogger. Now i'm wondering what color and/or design would you make if you're given the chance to design a nail polish. It would sure be a hit! Thanks for this refreshing and quirky post! God bless and stay safe. I'm always voting for you on stylebible. I wholeheartedly, truly wish you'd win. You have an edge on the contents! =)

Beautiful polish Liz! Inggit ako! Polishplease.ph sells Picture Polish lacquers, but they currently don't have this particular shade. I've been planning to buy some (pag may funds na! hehe).

It really rock your nails and love the color, it surely brightens the day, I agree with the selfie post, i guess boredom has something to do with it. May mga nagalit tuloy and says "Hello? Puwede wag ka munang mag upload ng mga selfie mo? Maraming nagmomonitor ng updates tungkol sa bagyo. Mukha ka kasing nasalanta, baka may malito. Lol! harsh but true pero eto din maganda sa atin mga filipino that no matter trials or typhoon, flood and etc. Filipino spirit is waterproof and we only can smile and laugh. Di ba may naging sirena pa, na conjurain and talagang tulong tulong. Lagi kaya ng Pilipino! that is why I am proud to be pinay! :-) ♥

Keep safe and God bless Liz!

If you were to create your own nail polish someday, what color would it be?

So cute! Pink makes me happy too! When I'm down or when I'm sick, I either wear pink clothes or pink makeup. Keep you head up, Liz. :)
