Capsule review: Majolica Majorca Psychedelicious Collection
Friday, July 27, 2012 at 9:29AM A couple of weeks back, Majolica Majorca introduced its first big collection this year: Psychedelicious. The event was quite literally sweet and colorful! Everyone came dressed in bright outfits and entered a venue that may very well be Hansel and Gretel's sugar house. Except there's no witch, just fabulous makeup.

I received a few products that I will quickly review for you guys. :)

Popping Shower Powder, Brow and Lash Colorist in BR555, Puff de Cheek in RD414
The Majolica Majorca Popping Shower Powder (P695) is a scented, sparkly body powder. It's infused with Majo's signature Majoromantica scent, a sweet, fruity concoction that I think you'll love.

The powder is fine and silky on skin, like most beauty body powders. I'm thinking that some people will be turned off by the sparkles - think Edward Cullen! - but I think it's fab if you like to spend nights partying. Just apply a pinch or two on your shoulders and decolletage to scent your skin and highlight your assets with the glitter.

This is almost invisible on skin, except for the shimmer. I just didn't blend it so you can see it close up. ;)
Next, I have the Brow and Lash Colorist (P595). This is a beast. A beast, I tell you! It's absolutely waterproof. I swatched it at the back of my hand then took a shower and washed some dishes. It's still there. If you soap and rub on it directly, it would still be there. How's that for dedication to staying power? You can only take it off it with an oil-based makeup remover.

I have BR555, which is a reddish brown that would suit red-haired or auburn girls. If you don't like dyeing your eyebrows when you have your hair done, this is the ultimate solution. It will color those brows and it will stay put. However, if like me you stick to your natural blackish-brownish hair color, then this wouldn't match at all. Pity since I LOVE how it shades and keeps brows in place with the ergonomic, tiny brush.
While I can't use this on my eyebrows, I will definitely keep it for my lashes. It's still a nice brown mascara after all. Hooray for dual-purpose products!

BR555
Lastly, I have the Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek blush in RD414. I'm going to do a full review of this since I think it's different from the past Puff de Cheeks. Why? It's much more pigmented and staying power seems to be improved. Awesome. That's exactly what I've always wanted for Majo's blush line. :)

Stay tuned for that review. In the meantime, here's a swatch!

RD414 is a reddish-coral shade with fine golden glitter. Reminds me of NARS Super Orgasm, a little. It would be a pinker, more pigmented version if ever.

And that's it! Hope you found this useful. Are you getting (or have you gotten) anything from Majo Psychedelicious? Let me know your feedback in the comments!

Ahh~ what a lovely color of blush that is! I'm drawn to such colors. Looking forward to your review!
Nice! Etude house has a version of the brow colorist. Their brow mascara #02. Perfect for colored hair. I think it retails only for about P280++. Cheaper version that works too!
I would love to try that brow mascara. My HG brow mascara is MAC's brow set. But this one looks good too. I hope you do a review and a swatch on your brows. :)
i always loved majolica majorca especially their puff de cheek product! i was trying to complete the 4 past shades but the strawberry one went oos before i even got my hands on it! it makes your skin have that natural flush and glow! i'm definitely gonna get the 2 new shades! i also think the colorist is a must try.. i will definitely add these to my list next time i go make up shopping! ^_^
Thanks for sharing, Liz. I want to get the Puff de Cheek in Coral! :D I think it's meant to have a place in my kikay kit haha I also recently got the Lash King in Brown and I am loving it! I originally wanted the black one, but it's always sold out :( I decided to give the brown one a try anyway since it isn't too light for me and brown mascara gives a more natural effect. Sorry for the shameless plug, but I did a review on the mascara recently and if you wanted to find out how it fared for me, you can click on my name and visit my site. :)
I will purchase the brow and lash colorist next month since I run out of my Billion Dollar Brows Hint of Tint in Taupe. And the blush is very tempting. As you've said before, they are by Shiseido right? Ok. I'm buying them. :)
Brow and Lash Colorist sounds exciting!!!!
At least its cheaper than the brow set from MAC and at the same time it's a lot more sturdy than Etude House's brow products. And it's for lashes too!!!!
Yes to that!
Thanks for featuring and for reviewing it!
That pink is a really lovely shade. Looking forward to your review and FOTD! :) I hope you can show us a look using the Brow Colorist too. I've been searching for a good alternative to the MAC one and this really seems promising :)
I'm curious with the shower powder. I usually am used to our local powders but this one seems amazing on the skin and the promise of a sweet smelling skin would edge up the deal. Looking forward to your review for this specific MM item! :D
Hi Liz! I'm especially interested in the brow and lash colorist and the new and improved blush. see, I've been paying too much attention to my eyebrows and I think this is going to be a great addition to my kit since my brows are pretty lush. I remember seeing (and using) a similar product from Mac, but at 1k I just don't feel it's a good deal. This majo baby however seems to be a good alternative, aside from it's lovely color, the staying power is a great plus! I color my hair brown and yes my eyebrows doesn't match, so since I'm kuripot and allot no budget for coloring it, this one is a perfect solution.
The puff de cheek also got my attention, though I'm eyeing the coral one. I love the color but I have issues with its staying power, so now that you've mentioned they made some improvement, I'm guessing it's worth a shot. :) a lot of brands have coral or peach blushes but not all has the shade that I like, majo is one of those few so it's really great to know they're making some improvements.
Wow! They don't just offer great products, plus good packaging too! I'm curious with the Brow and Lash colorist. How do you like it on your lashes?
Awesome collection!!I wonder if this collection arrived here?
