Capsule review: Majolica Majorca Psychedelicious Collection

A couple of weeks back, Majolica Majorca introduced its first big collection this year: Psychedelicious. The event was quite literally sweet and colorful! Everyone came dressed in bright outfits and entered a venue that may very well be Hansel and Gretel's sugar house. Except there's no witch, just fabulous makeup.

I received a few products that I will quickly review for you guys. :)

Popping Shower Powder, Brow and Lash Colorist in BR555, Puff de Cheek in RD414

The Majolica Majorca Popping Shower Powder (P695) is a scented, sparkly body powder. It's infused with Majo's signature Majoromantica scent, a sweet, fruity concoction that I think you'll love.

The powder is fine and silky on skin, like most beauty body powders. I'm thinking that some people will be turned off by the sparkles - think Edward Cullen! - but I think it's fab if you like to spend nights partying. Just apply a pinch or two on your shoulders and decolletage to scent your skin and highlight your assets with the glitter.

This is almost invisible on skin, except for the shimmer. I just didn't blend it so you can see it close up. ;)

Next, I have the Brow and Lash Colorist (P595). This is a beast. A beast, I tell you! It's absolutely waterproof. I swatched it at the back of my hand then took a shower and washed some dishes. It's still there. If you soap and rub on it directly, it would still be there. How's that for dedication to staying power? You can only take it off it with an oil-based makeup remover.

I have BR555, which is a reddish brown that would suit red-haired or auburn girls. If you don't like dyeing your eyebrows when you have your hair done, this is the ultimate solution. It will color those brows and it will stay put. However, if like me you stick to your natural blackish-brownish hair color, then this wouldn't match at all. Pity since I LOVE how it shades and keeps brows in place with the ergonomic, tiny brush.

While I can't use this on my eyebrows, I will definitely keep it for my lashes. It's still a nice brown mascara after all. Hooray for dual-purpose products!

BR555

Lastly, I have the Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek blush in RD414. I'm going to do a full review of this since I think it's different from the past Puff de Cheeks. Why? It's much more pigmented and staying power seems to be improved. Awesome. That's exactly what I've always wanted for Majo's blush line. :)

Stay tuned for that review. In the meantime, here's a swatch!

RD414 is a reddish-coral shade with fine golden glitter. Reminds me of NARS Super Orgasm, a little. It would be a pinker, more pigmented version if ever.

And that's it! Hope you found this useful. Are you getting (or have you gotten) anything from Majo Psychedelicious? Let me know your feedback in the comments!
