S&R Finds

It is an incredibly nice day today, don't you agree? There's a kind of hush all around, a gentleness even. I just wish it won't be too hot later on.

A gorgeous morning to you all!

Anyway, I just want to share a couple of my S&R finds. When we moved to Fort Bonifacio a couple of years ago, we instantly signed up at S&R. I shopped only once then. Why? Because for a household of two, I thought it wasn't practical to buy in bulk so I just did my groceries at Market! Market!

I've been shopping at S&R these past two months though. It's cheaper in the end because buying more means paying less, plus the meat and vegetables are usually fresh. In Market! Market! they leave the meat/veggies on display until they look sick. So yeah, it's better to buy in S&R. I still go to MM though because it has some stuff S&R doesn't have.

Okay, sorry about rambling. If you do your groceries and cook your own food you know how important it is. :P Back to beauty stuff!

S&R has an area just dedicated to bath and skincare goodies. You can find the usual drugstore brands like Aveeno, Dove, Pantene, Jergens, Garnier, as well as some lesser-known brands. They're drugstore, sure, but they're expensive because they come in huge containers. For example, a Dove body wash is around P450 a bottle, only because there are no smaller ones available.

There's an extensive line of Aveeno products available in S&R as well. Shampoos, conditioners, body washes, moisturizers, you can find 'em there. It's like an unexplored treasure trove.

Since I don't need any new body care products, I just bought the Evian Facial Spray (P459) and a set of mini-alcohol bottles (P149).

For a while I felt like a fool buying expensive mineral water in an aerosol can, but I think there's something more to it. I'll be using it a while longer, and see!

I do think this set of mini-hand sprays is my best find though. If you're the type of person who changes bags often, this is a must-have! The bottles are small and compact, so you can just leave them in all your bags and no one will be the wiser. You can also reuse the bottles and pour, I don't know, cologne, facial mist, brush cleaner, or what have you inside. The nozzle gives a fine mist.

And that's it. :) Do you shop at S&R? What are your favorite buys there?
