Why you need this P350 Korean hair vinegar - yes, vinegar - in your life

I know that hair vinegar sounds like a sketchy concept, but it's an idea that's been around for a while. You might have read about hair rinses that includes vinegar to better cleanse the scalp, but no one actually wants to smell like they did it. Right? Enter commercial hair vinegars. Thank me later.

So why do you need hair vinegars anyway? Think of it as the first step to double-cleansing your scalp properly. Most of the time, normal shampoo isn't enough to rid your hair of product build-up (this one more than anything), dead skin, oil, and dirt, so you'll need a separate product to break it all down. If you have that feeling of your hair being heavy and greasy at the roots, then it means that you need something with more cleansing power than your everyday shampoo.

Hair vinegars have the power to remove hair spray, wax, gel, and heavy conditioners effectively without damaging your scalp. You can use them once or twice a week (when needed) after your normal hair routine and before your final rinse. Just squirt all over your hair, massage, then wash.

My favorite and I mean my absolute favorite hair vinegar right now is the CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar (P350 /500ml from Althea PH). It smells delicious, like raspberry juice, with a slight hint of fruity sourness that isn't vinegary at all. I love using this once a week just to unburden my hair from gunk as I have an oily scalp, plus recently I've been using products like texturizing cream and hair spray.

I'm already on my third bottle actually. I've been using it for over a year now! I love that the price is only P350 for half a liter of product. One bottle lasts me for about four to five months so it's really sulit. I've tried another hair vinegar before, the one from Yves Rocher, but that one is pricier at P495 for 150ml. It also has more of a vinegar note to it compared to the CP-1.

The product has a splash-type nozzle so you can sort of sprinkle it all over your hair. While it works just fine, I think that a spray mechanism would make it faster to use. I might transfer some product in a spray bottle one of these days to check.

Overall, I highly recommend the CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar to anybody who needs a clear scalp and bouncier hair. I almost don't want to rave about it because I am a selfish human being and it might go out of stock again, but it's ok, since I hoarded a few bottles last time I shopped at Althea. So, hah! You should definitely try it out if you haven't yet.

If you have, any reviews? Would love to know what you think of it too.
