Why spend when you can switch and save with Watsons?

A higher price tag doesn’t always equate to high quality products. If you’re a fan of our budget beauty series, then you’ll know that you can always ALWAYS get the job done with affordable options. This is exactly why I swear by Watsons. No kidding, the place is basically heaven for me and my shallow pockets.

Last Tuesday, we were invited down to Makati Shangri-La to take the #SwitchTest as part of Watsons’ long-running Switch and Save campaign. With a blind test, we were all made to test two similar household products such as lotions, toothbrushes, body scrubs, tissue paper, and even hair irons and choose which product we liked better. One product is of course is a Watsons merchandise and the other comes from the leading brand.

It felt like something out of a commercial, I’ll tell you that. After they finally revealed which one was the Watsons brand, it turned out that 3 out of 5 bloggers chose the more affordable alternative from Watsons, claiming that the one they picked is of more premium quality. When informed of the price difference and the considerable savings that they can get by switching to Watsons, the other two immediately took the leap.

It turns out that Watsons actually did the #SwitchTest in major cities around the country as well! In their nationwide caravan, less than 20% of the shoppers chose the leading brand vis-à-vis the more budget-friendly Watsons option. After knowing that they can save up to 80% by making the switch however, the shoppers chose to go with Watsons.

Personally, I enjoy their hand soaps and body washes that come in the big pump dispensers. They’re almost always on buy 1, take 1, too so I get to save some serious cash without sacrificing quality. What’s your favorite Watsons label product? Let me know so I can pick it up on my next run!
