I just went to NARS and I got a GWP (no samples, just a cosmetics bag) because I reached a minimum limit. A few months ago, Robbie, the NARS SA, gave me a bunch of awesome samples after I purchased some items. When I buy a single item, I never get samples, though I also think it depends on availability of samples rin.

shu uemura is usually generous with samples, but again, after you buy one or a few items. I really think customers have to spend a minimum amount before SAs can give out samples, which is kinda sad because I feel like they SHOULD want to make people try their products.

In my experience, MAC has never had any samples ready. I know because I asked, lol. However, I haven't asked specifically for a sample of a product, so maybe they'll accommodate that request. (I doubt it, though.)

All I always get is unsolicited perfume sprays!
