Rave: Revlon Powder Blush (with five new shades!)

This story is brought to you by Revlon.

There’s nothing like blush to instantly wake our face up and give it a fresh vibe. Cheek tints have become especially popular here in the Philippines because they’re so convenient to use, but honestly I don’t use them often simply because of the limited colors available! I personally love nude and coral pink blushes for my skin tone, and I can usually find these type of colors in powder blushes.

I was excited to learn that Revlon now has new shades of their classic Powder Blush (P575 for 5 grams). I’ve had these before when they still came with a brush, but now they’ve gotten rid of that (yay, because I never really use it) in favor of more product. Not gonna lie - I love these new colors! They’re quite modern and super easy to blend with a brush.

What I like most about these is how the coverage is translucent; like your skin is naturally blushing and glowing from within. They don’t look chalky or cheap at all; they actually remind me of the texture and application of a Dior blush that I love! In terms of pigmentation, you’ll need a couple of layers, but that allows you to build that skin-like finish.

My absolute favorite shade from this line is Apricute. It’s a nude apricot blush that makes my medium warm skin look amazing and glowing! Next would be Rose Bomb, a super flattering coral pink with fine gold shimmer. Revlon also has Hot Cheeks (pink nude), Pinkcognito (fresh pink), and Very Berry (deep berry, for deeper skin tones).

As for the staying power, these blushes wear well during the day. It stays on for a good 6-7 hours on my combination skin and fades nicely afterwards. I would recommend this for those with oily skin as it won’t fade easily.

Overall, I think you’ll love the Revlon Powder Blush if you love fresh cheeks that will stay reliably, well, fresh during the day. I specifically beseech you to get Apricute - this is PERFECT on Filipina skin tones and a great shade if you’re looking for a nude blush. Let me know what you think!
