You're invited: The Project Vanity Brave & Beautiful 14th Anniversary Event

The last two years have been all about survival. Day in and day out it’s all about putting out fires and maybe even lighting some of them. None of us came out of the worst of the pandemic as the same people we were coming in. Now that the world has opened up again, we’re feeling a little bit dazed, maybe a little bit lost. Who are we and where do we go now that the world is open yet never the same again?

The Project Vanity Community came together 14 years ago because we were all looking for answers as we built our own identity and lived our own stories. I was still in college when I started Project Vanity, and I know most of us grew up together. Beauty has always mattered to us because it gave us control and confidence.

But I’ve learned over the years that beauty is just a part of the equation - not the whole. Each anniversary event has been about all the different qualities we should cultivate in empowering ourselves as women and woman-identifying persons - tenacity, seeing our imperfections in a new light, and knowing we are more than the sum of our parts.

This year, our theme is Brave & Beautiful for our 14th Anniversary Event, and you’re invited as always! It’s happening on August 27, Saturday, and Palm Grove at the Rockwell Club, Makati from 1-5PM.

We have amazing speakers in our line up to talk about their stories of reinvention, self-discovery, and determination. We have Dr. Rica Cruz, who is the Philippines’ premier sex therapist and CEO of Unprude, to speak about how being braver in bed can help you be braver in other aspects of your life. Myrza Sison, executive coach and podcast host, will be speaking about how she’s been fearlessly reinventing herself for the last few decades and what she has learned in the process. And finally we have Lynn Pinugu, founder of Mano Amiga and co-founder and CEO of She Talks Asia, who will talk about how to nurture grit, grace, and gratitude as we go through the different stages of our life. The event will be hosted by my friend Carol R.H. Malasig, journalist and the quirky lady behind @AlmostDiplomatic.

This is all thanks to our Major Sponsors BYS and Beautybox Corp. (Cure and Himawari), Minor Sponsors Issy & Co Cosmetics and Chu Chu Beauty, along with Hada Labo, blk Cosmetics, Happy Skin, AVEDA, Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, Skin Aqua, Mentholatum Lip Care, Ready Set Glow Cosmetics, and Oxecure.

The tickets are P2,995 (Early Bird Rate until August 15 only). Each attendee will receive a loot bag worth over P10,000 from our sponsors, and the fee is inclusive of refreshments as well. Please get your tickets below:

I’m so excited to see you on August 27! Thank you for staying me through the years. I’m forever grateful to you for being part of our small but mighty community.
