What's inside my Muji Hanging Box Case

Honestly, I only started to play tennis because the guy I am romantically involved with plays tennis. I thought it would be a fun date, perhaps something to kill time for a couple of weeks. I fully expected my interest in it to fizzle out because I have absolutely no sporty bone in my body - or so I believed! But lo, I've found that I enjoy it tremendously and that I hit well enough to want to hit better. These days I play tennis three times a week. I find it challenging and exciting, and I am keen (time permitting) on being competitive in the months to come!

Anyway, I thought I'd show you my after-tennis beauty kit. ^_^ This is also going to be my travel kit in the next couple of months! With perfect timing Muji sent over their Hanging Box Case a couple of weeks back and it's perfect for my needs. It has several compartments to separate different types of products neatly, a hook for hanging, and it comes in a lightweight, lightly-padded material.

Muji also included their Clothes Cleaner, Light Toning Water, Moisturising Milk, the Cheek Brush, and the Face Brush. I've tried Muji skincare before (the Cleansing Oil, which is quite a good dupe for Shu Uemura!) so I'm looking forward to trying out the toner and moisturizer. I'll keep them for now though! I have too many open travel-sized skincare. I love the coat cleaner as it removes lint and pats down the fabric. Definitely useful in cold weather.

And so, here's what's currently inside my Muji case! I don't like bringing too many products with me so I go for multi-purpose picks and ones that require the least amount of fuss to use. I also go for a simple face. After tennis or say at the beginning of a full day of walking around in a foreign city, I don't want to spend a lot of time doing my makeup!

The skincare list:

Shu Uemura Anti/Oxi Cleansing Oil. I unearthed a travel-sized bottle of this so in it went! It's an easy way to remove makeup or sunscreen without having to bring cotton pads.

Clinique Mild Liquid Facial Soap. The Oily Skin Formula of this used to be my HG facial wash, and I remember why now that I'm using it again. It does the job and leaves no residue! Glad I got a travel size of it. It can easily be refilled since the cap screws out.

Lush Shampoo Bar in Honey I Washed My Hair. I love this! It's kinda expensive but a bit goes a long way. I also use it as body wash so I don't have to bring a separate bottle or soap.

Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Gel Emulsion. My current HG moisturizer. I placed some inside my contact lenses case for leak-proof awesomeness. Here's my post on how to store your skincare in such cases, if you haven't seen it yet.

The makeup list:

Smashbox Photo Filter Creamy Powder Foundation. Heavy and flawless coverage in a compact? Always handy when you want to be able to control your coverage. I just apply this with the Muji Face Brush to even out my complexion quickly.

Artdeco Blusher in 38 First Love. Brought this mostly because of the slim size! It's a lovely, flattering color. Review here.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. Is it obvious that I hoard travel/sample sizes? This is my fave daily mascara as I don't need to use a curler to get my lashes up when I'm using this! It doesn't smudge on me too.

Eye of Horus Dual Brow Perfect. I prefer pencils when applying eyebrows on the go. There's really not enough time and space to muck about with brushes and pots.

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm in RD301. This is a brightening red that gives me an excuse not to have to apply any more makeup on my face. I love that it's hydrating too!

So there you go, hope you enjoyed looking through my on-the-go kit! How about you, is there anything new that you added in your kit?
