New from In Her Element: Petal Skin Rose Clay Mask and Rose Toning Essence

It was in my many travels to Japan that I first heard about “petal skin”. I’ve observed that the Japanese prefer matte yet bouncy skin that’s supple to the touch, as they don’t like a lot of shine or shimmer on their complexion. I’ve since tried to duplicate the petal skin effect in the way I apply my makeup, but then I thought: what if I could achieve it with my skincare routine?

That’s the idea for the new In Her Element Petal Skin Collection. It took us approximately 12 months to get the formula juuust right because I was so OC from the texture, scent, packaging - everything really! It had to be something that I will use all the time, something that can take the place of my high-end favorites without costing as much. Finally, I am so happy to present our hard work to you all!

Let’s start with the In Her Element Petal Skin Rose Toning Essence (P875 for 100ml at inherelement.ph). This is a hydrating toner that helps your skin get that nice bouncy, supple texture. It contains rose distillate, of course, for the flower’s natural antiseptic, antibacterial, and aromatherapeutic properties, and niacinamide for the brightening, spot-fading effect. This is a watery gel that you must apply after cleansing your face and right before your favorite moisturizer.

Our Rose Toning Essence is good for all skin types and is designed to be layered with your existing skincare for an extra boost. If you’re oily, I think you will especially like this one since it is sooooo light and refreshing on the skin while still being able to offer hydration to the surface. This can be layered several times if you want to use it as a moisturizer by itself, or as a quick leave-on mask right before sleeping.

We’ve also created the In Her Element Petal Skin Rose Clay Mask (P875 for 100g at inherelement.ph) to help you achieve an instant brightening effect. This contains rose distillate and rose clay for a luxurious masking sesh that can clear your pores of dead skin, oil, and dirt in ten minutes, leaving your skin matte and clear. It also contains glycolic acid to increase your skin’s natural glow! This mask is mainly a gentle physical exfoliant, but we added a small amount of AHA for a quick boost.

As you all know, I am a HUGE fan of clay masks since exfoliation is such an important part of my own skincare routine. Clay masks never fail to improve my skin’s texture especially coming from a breakout where everything is just flaky AF. This particular clay mask is special because even though it contains rose clay and French green clay for exfoliation, it doesn’t leave skin feeling dry and taut. Yup, I was very strict about this! Exfoliating your skin doesn’t mean leaving your skin papery and dehydrated. This is the same idea we had when we made the Glow Job 5% Glycolic Gel Cream, which is a more powerful chemical exfoliator.

Our Rose Clay Mask can be used up to two times a week (three times is fine too) right after cleansing and before the rest of your skincare routine. This is a great addition if you’ve always wanted a clay mask to help manage oily skin or to help clear out flakes from dry skin.

As with all our products, these are fragrance-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free. I know it’s been a while since we released anything new at In Her Element, but the wait, I promise, is worth it. I hope you could try these out and let us know what you think! <3 I would also love to hear if you have any questions.

In Her Element Skincare is available online at inherelement.ph. The Petal Skin duo will be available at BeautyMNL and Beauty Bar stores within the next few weeks.
