Prep your wallets: Here's what to expect at the frejya store in Glorietta
Where do you shop for your beauty hauls? I honestly love the convenience that online shopping offers, but it’s definitely more fun to be able to see everything that’s available and to swatch and try the products in person! Thankfully, we are now spoiled for choice with the launch of freyja, a unique beauty experience that allows you to get the best of both worlds!
freyja was created by the idea of bringing the beauty community together, both online and off. To achieve this, LUXASIA developed a social channel that integrates with an online store and a beauty experience hub in Glorietta 2. The global concept was first launched here in the Philippines to support the highly connected and engaged beauty community, so you can expect to be part of the big beauty conversation!
First on the agenda is to offer a one-of-a-kind beauty experience, so expect to see some new names and faces at the beauty hub! Supermodel Miranda Kerr’s Kora Organics skincare line greeted us with a display of their 3 Step System as well as her favorite Noni Glow Face Oil. The certified natural and organic brand is definitely a welcome new addition for skincare addicts who want to ensure a clean and safe beauty experience.
We were super excited to spot Gerard Cosmetics’ very own CEO Jen Gerard at the launch party! Lovely and bubbly, Jen shared how excited she was to be here and gave us a tip to try her absolute favorite from the line: the Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss in Coral Craze! She describes it as a peachy nude that looks flattering on all skin tones. Also available are three variants of the brand’s best-selling Slay All Day Setting Spray in Cucumber, Coconut, and Rose.
Of course, the lipsticks that have the local Facebook beauty groups all agog were there, too. All 35 (!) shades of Velour Liquid Lipsticks by Jeffree Starr Cosmetics are available for your swatching pleasure! We did, in fact, attempt to swatch each and every one for our Instagram stories but be warned: these babies will not come off without a ton of oil cleanser and some elbow grease.
No kikay can live without her kilay, so Benefit Cosmetics’ full range of brow solutions are present to keep them on fleek! We also spotted an army of their Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation in 11 available shades. No need to guesstimate your shade here, and no need to settle for a foundation that’s any less than your perfect shade match!
We were thrilled to spot Ellana Cosmetics, the only homegrown brand in the store! Theresa Carbonel-Buenaflor, the brand’s founder and resident mad scientist, was present to personally create custom Lip Drunk Blushes. While the mix bar was set up for the launch party, she revealed that they plan to start offering the service soon!
Can’t figure out which face mask you to get from Peter Thomas Roth? The display includes detailed product information for the five variants so you can get the best one suited to your needs. Or, you can get all five in their Mask-A-Holic set and switch it up according to what your skin needs for the day.
Not even freyja can escape the Hallyu wave, and thank goodness for that because we finally have Huxley and Make P:rem on our shores! This makes it easier to figure out what to get from the Secret of Sahara line easier (not, now we want them all) and to experience the airy light texture of the UV Defense Me. Blue Ray Sun Gel. Sheet masks are also neatly arranged in a corner.
The K-beauty obsession continues with the arrival of Moonshot Cosmetics! Bestsellers like the Micro Setting Fit Cushions and Cream Paint Light Fit are ready for the taking, while the super cute Jelly Pots will be available soon. No need for pasabuys now that you can get them here!
Also available are crowd favorites, Peripera and Clio Professional. The trend for velvety matte formulas and gradient lips is going strong, and we are all for it! After all, there’s no such thing as too many lipsticks.
Beauty routines are self-care rituals meant to be enjoyed, and lighting a candle or two definitely elevates the experience. Newcomer Damselfly Collective offers non-toxic soy based wax candles with luxurious fragrance blends in quirky glass holders. We love how they’re inscribed with funny and motivational inscriptions!
It’s not a LUXASIA store without a selection of luxury perfumes, and a fragrance bar has been set up to guide guests. Scents from BVLGARI, Coach, Carolina Herrera, and Lanvin are organized according to their main accords for a hassle-free shopping experience.
freyja also carries pretty accessories from Pink Tequila and Wanderlust + Co. If you need help doing your makeup, they’re well-stocked with a selection of beauty tools from Sigma, Ecotools, beautyblender, Nailmatic, KK Lashes, Tangle Teezer, Tweezerman, and even Glamcor!
Speaking of Glamcor, a unit is permanently set up in the store for anyone who wants to do take FOTDs or vlog about their freyja experience! The store even offers free WiFi that’s open to all, so you can go from camera to cyberspace with relative ease. Make sure to upload your photos at the Looks page of freyja’s online community!
What sets freyja’s website apart from other online stores is the social community it hosts. If you’ve ever wondered about the color of lippie or the brand of mascara that your fave influencer is wearing, freyja makes it easier to shop entire beauty looks with just a few clicks! Products are neatly listed with each FOTD uploaded to the site, so you buy and browse within the same portal. The beauty hub also has several LCD displays that flash the looks shared by the community, so you can discover what other beauty addicts are loving and get inspiration for your own haul.
