A pretty steal for P175: The EB Advance Bloom Blush swatches + review

This story is brought to you by EB Advance

Before I get into this blush review, I just want to talk about something life-changing: mask brackets. These are silicone brackets that you can put underneath your face mask so that you can talk and breathe easily. The best thing about them though is that I can - wait for it - wear makeup again without it all rubbing into the mask! There would be some creasing where the brackets touch my face but it’s easy to fix with a clean finger.

Anyway! EB Advance just introduced the Bloom Bush (P175 for 1.5 grams) and I’m really enjoying them with my makeup looks lately. These are matte powder blushes with four shades available, and all of them are flattering on Filipina skin tones. The best thing though is that they last a good amount of time - up to four hours with no mask, and up to three hours with a mask.

The powder is quite easy to blend into the skin, as it diffuses nicely with both hair or synthetic brushes. It’s not patchy at all. The only thing you have to watch out for is using too much. These blushes are PIGMENTED, so you want to use the smallest amount possible and build up the color from there.

I like that the four shades are universal and matte. There’s Fig, which is a nude peachy pink color that works for any skin tone. This is great if you’re looking for a subtle touch of color on the cheeks. Peony is a sweet pink shade that will help to brighten skin. Dahlia is a warm bronze - super nice for warming up the skin tone or even doing a soft contour. Rose is a dusty sort of millennial pink shade which I think would look great on top of Dahlia for a draping effect.

Here are a couple of my FOTDs wearing the blushes. I love how, despite Bloom Blush being matte, it just looks natural against my skin. But yes just watch the application, as my first time wearing the blush was quite strong!

Overall, I think the EB Advance Bloom Blush is a pretty addition to your kit without costing much at all. Matte blushes are a great option if you have oily skin - they tend to stay on longer and look better as our natural oils mix with them over the course of the day. If you can get only one, Fig is my fave, followed by Dahlia! I’m really loving that “naked” blush look lately!

Let me know what you think, as always!

EB Advance is available in counters nationwide and in Lazada and Shopee.
