Five brands we wish would arrive in Manila - STAT!

The past years have seen a steady influx of hot fashion and design brands– H&M, Uniqlo, Crate and Barrel, and West Elm to name a few. But in terms of the beauty scene, there’s still a lot we makeup lovers are missing. Here are five of our most wanted. We wish to see flying off the shelves here in Manila!

Who hasn’t heard of ColourPop? This LA-based brand keeps rocking the beauty world with their super trendy makeup and hot new releases. Those Lippie Stix and Ultra Matte Lips have enough shades to keep you up all night! Some favorites to look for in case you haven’t already are Lumiere, Brink, Kapow, and Beeper. Also, you must check out their awesome collabs with several online celebrities – ItsMyRayeRaye, CoffeeBreakWithDani, and ColourPop x KathleenLights Where The Night Is collection.

A cool bonus from this company aside from not testing on animals? All their products are within an affordable price range!

Gorgeously packaged makeup with great performance to boot? Hello Tarte! Since the brand’s inception in 1999, they have continuously produced what are now considered cult-favorites such as their Cheek Stains, Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blushes, Maracuja Oil, and Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara. The latest must-haves from the brand are the Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eye Shadow Palette and the Tarteist Contour Palette and Lip Paints. These products boast of having "skinvigorating" ingredients, and online reviews all attest to the brand’s outstanding formulas. Waterproof? Check. Budgeproof? Check. All thanks to Tarte’s trademarked 12-hour power.

While some of Tarte’s amazing products are available online at BeautyMNL.com, we wish they’d have the full range over soon to make full-tartelette converts out of us!

When ultra-famous makeup artist to the stars Charlotte Tilbury announced that she was launching her own makeup line, the beauty world went mad. With 10 perfectly curated looks ranging from The Ingenue to The Rebel, the bestselling products include Luxury Palettes for the Eyes (the all-matte Sophisticate is a crowd favorite), Magic Cream (Charlotte’s personal backstage secret), Wonderglow, and K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipsticks. Bitch Perfect, anyone?

Though available via Net-a-Porter.com, nothing beats swatching Charlotte Tilbury’s Art Deco-inspired and rose gold packaged makeup in person.

Vice, Naked, Perversion. In the makeup world, these words can only mean one brand – Urban Decay. It was 1996 when the brand started a beauty revolution. They released shades previously unheard of with their first ever tagline being, “Does Pink Make You Puke?” We haven’t looked back since and today, our UD faves include the Eyeshadow Primer Potion, ALL the Naked Palettes (1, 2, 3, and Smoky), and the 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencils. We’re also watching out for the full collection of Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani. The Eyeshadow Palette looks amazing, and we can’t wait for the lipsticks and the rumored blush palette to come out!

An urgent plea: Urban Decay, please stock up your purple shelves here in Manila!

This is actually the oldest brand in this list. Can you believe that Bourjois was established in Paris in 1863? Wow. So much history.

Fast forward to today, and we all know how our UK beauty vloggers constantly rave about their products. The Healthy Mix Serum Foundation keeps popping up in Lisa Eldridge’s blog. The Little Round Pot Blushes are said to be drugstore dupes for those highly-coveted Chanel blushes. And of course, the Rouge Edition Velvets ride the success train of matte liquid lipsticks. Top shade picks include #01 Personne Ne Rouge and #07 Nude-ist.

What about you? What are the beauty brands you wish were in Manila? We’re sure you have plenty!
