Beauty News Roundup: Avon’s kilig duo, the ultimate glow kit and Kylie Jenner’s new baby

They say that Christmas in the Philippines starts as soon as the –ber months roll in but the holiday season in the beauty world feels like it’s been ongoing since August! From tantalizing treats to hot new releases, we’re as busy as Santa’s elves with bringing you good tidings of skin-saving solutions, gorgeously curated palettes, and a swoon-worthy celebrity pairing.

Feelin’ fresh and in love with JaDine

Remember how energizing it feels to be young and in love? We recently got a dose of that rejuvenating vibe when Project Vanity was invited to interview Avon’s newest endorsers! The chemistry between real-life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre gave us butterflies in our stomachs as they talked about Avon’s Feelin’ Fresh line, which includes personal care products like deodorants and creams. Watch out for our exclusive interview with #JaDine, coming soon on PV!

Glow on, make my day

Ooh la la! Who doesn’t love a little glow in their lives? (Or in our case, on the tops of our cheekbones!) We’ve called 2016 as the year of the highlighter and Tarte is tempting us to do another impulse buy with their latest palette. The Tarteist Pro Glow and Highlight and Contour Palette ($45) is guaranteed to give you that fabulous J.Lo glow this holiday season.

The palette includes four shimmery highlight powders (Lit, Strobe, Fire and Stunner), a cream contour (Shade), and a contour powder (Sculpt). The shades are all cool-toned, explains the Instagram announcement, "to mimic how light and shadows naturally reflect on your skin." The formulations themselves are supposedly crease-free and easy to blend, which definitely make it easier to create that discreet slimming contour to put a stop to unsolicited “tumaba ka” comments.

Krazy for more Kylie

When it comes to hyping up product launches, no one does it better than 19-year-old Kylie Jenner. With the huge success of her eponymous makeup line, it’s no surprise that each new release has all staring at our device screens. Apparently, she’s been working on a new KyShadow Palette called Burgundy, which is the perfect mix of reds, browns and golds!

Available in both shimmery and matte finishes, the shades include Naked (light champagne), New York (metallic auburn), Brick (brownish red), Burgundy (matte wine), Dubai (metallic burgundy), Beach (golden brown), Penny (satin copper), Almond (chocolate brown), and LA (metallic copper). The nine shadow palette has just dropped on the Kylie Cosmetics site and we imagine they’d work so well with the fall lippies that we’ve been trying to resist. Is this a sign that we should hit the checkout button?

Ciara’s new (Revlon) goodies

Her goodies, her goodies, her goodies, yes her goodies! Hip hop and R&B singer Ciara is now the latest face of huge beauty brand Revlon! She joins the ranks of fellow Revlon endorsers Olivia Wilde and Halle Berry, and will be the face of Revlon’s “Choose Love” campaign for long lasting eye makeup.

Funny thing is, Ciara was actually named after a Revlon perfume! In 1973, the brand released a perfume called Ciara by Revlon, which her mom received as gift from her dad and liked so much that she named her daughter after it. Consider this fate!

The model already boasts an impressive resume of modeling gigs, magazine covers, TV shows, and multiple endorsement deals, and she still isn’t stopping. Dr. Pimple Popper is now Dr. Problem Solver

If you regularly browse online, you’ve probably found yourself watching a video or browsing the Instagram account of the famous Dr. Pimple Popper, aka Dr. Sandra Lee. She has over two million followers who tune in to watch her extract, clean and literally pop all these nasty things that we never even realized we could have in our skin. The imagery is definitely not for the squeamish but her newest venture can definitely appeal to everyone! Dr. Lee has launched her own magic bottle that promises to help you fight pimples. The Acne Spot Treatment ($25) contains 2% salicylic acid and helps dry out zits super fast, without irritating or damaging the skin. And because the skin absorbs the formula so well, you can even use this under your makeup so you can address the problem even as you cover it up with concealer!
