Beauty Roundup: New lip and cheek drops from Spotlight, Blk, ColourPop, and Dior

The heat is on! Lately I’ve been drawn to a fresh monochromatic look with lighter colors, a juicy lip, and fresh base: the makings of a good summer go-to look. And it seems like I’m not the only one. Thankfully, new releases have focused on barely-there skin tints, bright cheeks, and glossy lips. This week, let’s take a look at Spotlight Cosmetics’ new Lush Lip and Cheek Créme, and new shades for Blk Cosmetics Creamy All-Over Paints. We’ll also get a taste of ColourPop’s new plumping gloss balms and lip liners. Last but most definitely not the least, let’s take a peek at Dior Beauty’s new color lineups for the season. Let’s get started on this week’s beauty news roundup!

Steal the Spotlight with this multi-use créme

Launched just on March 21st this year, the Lush Lip and Cheek Créme (P425, 6.5g) is the newest addition to Spotlight Cosmetics’ lineup. This multi-use product promises easy-to-blend, buildable, and long-lasting yet hydrating color for lips, cheeks, and eyes.

It comes in four shades: Blooming, Sensational, Delightful, and Blushing. Apply with a light hand for that fresh, natural flush; or go for a bolder on-trend look by building up the color on your cheeks and lips.

Blk Cosmetics adds new colors to their OG Creamy All-Over Paints

Undoubtedly, the Creamy All-Over Paints (P399) is one of the most popular products of Blk Cosmetics since its launch. This week, they added four new shades to help you look cool for the summer: Summer Haze (coral peach), Island Rose (neutral pink), Petal (true pink), and Summer Sorbet (soft pink).

The iconic Blk bestseller now comes in a total of 15 shades! There will definitely be something for everyone with the choices for pink, nude, red and peach shades. I can also see the new colors working well with their other new releases (blush palettes and cushion wands).

ColourPop’s new releases are So Juicy

Combining the benefits of a lip plumper, hydration of a balm, and shine of a gloss, ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm ($10) has all you need for juicy lips. It comes in six shades: Vacay Mode (pinkish nude), Guava Glaze (watermelon pink), Dolled Up (cool-toned pink), Doe (warm nude), PSL (warm terracotta), and Berry Spritz (deep plum berry).

Here’s something cool to try: ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Lip Liner ($8), which combines the power of a lip plumper and a liner. This one comes in eight shades: Love That (soft nude pink), Tease (light warm nude), Westwood (neutral mauve pink), Group Chat (rosy pink), ETA (deep rose), Jaguar (neutral mid-tone nude), Slay (warm brown), and Mocha Latte (rich chocolate brown).

Both products are scheduled for online release on March 28th.

New colors for Dior Beauty, Summer 2024

Last December, Dior ambassador Jisoo shared a series of photos with a then-unreleased shade of Dior Addict Lip Glow ($40): Poppy Coral. The radiant pinkish coral shade will also be available for three other Dior products: Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush ($40), Dior Addict Lip Maximizer ($40), and Dior Lip Glow Oil ($40).

Aside from Poppy Coral, the same four products will also be available in Pink Lilac (lavender rose), and Bronzed Glow (warm brown). These three new shades are reported to be limited-edition shades, so if you like them, get them as soon as they drop!

And that’s it for this week’s beauty news roundup! I’m happy to have discovered new products I could try for that perfect monochromatic look. How about you, what are you packing in your summer makeup kit?
