The first and lash

One of the greatest feelings in life is being able to slap on a makeup product and instantly know that it’s going to deliver. Expected to follow in the success of their Tattoo Liner is Kat Von D Beauty’s first ever mascara! Set to launch on April 19, the Go Big or Go Home Mascara ($23) is an ultra black mascara that promises fuller, longer, and curled lashes all day. Formulated with plant-based fats, it is completely vegan and supposedly delivers on the volume. The formula also claims to be clump-free and able to last all day! Would you try this?

BRB, I’m auto here!

To be honest, it’s been a hot minute since quirky brand TheBalm came out with a new product. From their well-loved Bahama Mama Bronzer to their Meet Matt(e) Palette, we’ve loved their formulations and their packaging equally. That’s why we’re buzzing about their latest launch: a line of palettes that are perfect for those on the go! The Autobalm Collection features 3 new palettes ($26.50 each) perfect for every need and look. There’s the 4-pan blush palette called Grl Pwdr and two eyeshadow palettes called Day 2 Nite and Pic Perf. Housed in adorable tin packaging designed to look like license plates, you can easily chuck these into your bag! We’ll be stalking TheBalm on Beauty Bar for when they launch here.

In full bloom

Talk about being tickled pink. Celebrate summer and the sakura season with MAC’s newest collection aptly called Boom Boom Bloom! The spring themed collection includes favorites like the Lip Glass, Strobe Cream, highlighter powders, lipsticks, and eyeshadows. We’re particularly enamored by Prep + Prime Fix+, High-Light Powder in Spring Bling ($30), Eye Shadow X 9 in Kabuki Doll ($33), Lipglass in Heartmelter ($18.50), and the matte lipstick in Framboise Moi ($19.50). The sweet, cherry blossom designs are a refreshing break from MAC’s usual sleek black designs, and we’re so tempted to collect everything!

Downhill from here

Following her involvement in the huge college scandal that broke the internet and the US admission system, beauty YouTuber Olivia Jade is facing yet another problem with her beauty line. After being dropped by a lot of her brand partnerships, the 19-year-old is now facing a new problem with her patents for Olivia Jade Beauty due to… punctuation errors. The brand, which was set to carry everything from hair tools to skincare, lotions, and makeup, is now facing possible rejection due to the improper filing and writing. Oops!
