Beauty Roundup: New Drops From Ever Bilena, Spotlight Cosmetics, blk, Happy Skin, and Myra

Has everybody recovered from the extended 2.2 sales? Now that that’s over, local beauty brands have moved on with exciting new product releases! Let’s look at new skin care and makeup product releases from Ever Bilena, Spotlight Cosmetics, blk, and Happy Skin. Plus, a new find for your glow-up from Myra. Yes, it’s time for another beauty roundup, local brands only edition!

Lock in your lip color with Ever Bilena’s new lippie

Matte lippie fans, rejoice! Ever Bilena just released a new matte lip formula: the Matte Colorlock Lippie (P 295). The twist-up crayon promises a non-fade, non-transfer matte formula with nourishing Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid. This means it will stay on the lips all day without the discomfort of typically drying matte lippies. It is available in 12 shades.

I personally like the slim crayon format with the angled tip, which combines the dexterity of a lip liner and a lipstick’s ease of use. My chapped lips typically don’t take well to matte formulas, but I’m excited to give this one a chance!

A new skin-caring foundation takes the Spotlight

Looking for a base with buildable coverage, natural glowy finish, and lasting wear? The new Spotlight Cosmetics Serum Cushion Foundation (P 895) just might fit the bill. Its formula incorporates skin-loving ingredients such as Sunflower Seed Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, and Ceramides. To top it all off, it also gives sun protection at SPF 50+ PA++++. It is available in three shades: Dewy Ivory (Fair), Dewy Beige (Light to Medium), and Dewy Almond (Medium to Dark).

If you’re like me, your face might be feeling drier with the cooler weather lately. A hydrating foundation like this can help make sure your skin is moisturized throughout the day. Bonus points for the travel-friendly cushion format, too! I also appreciate the selection of wearable shades that would suit our local coloring.

Colorful additions to blk Cosmetics’ Daydream Collection

How do you prefer your cheek color formula: liquid, cream, or powder? There really is no wrong answer, and blk Cosmetics’ latest additions to their Daydream Collection reflect just that! Let’s meet the Daydream Dual Blush Palette (P 499) and the Daydream Cushion Wand (P 399). These new blushes will definitely help you achieve whatever you look you want, from barely there to full glam!

Blk Cosmetics Daydream Dual Blush Palette Cream+Powder (P499) combines a cream blush with a powder blush, housed in a pretty soft pink compact with mirror. Use just one blush color for casual days, or use the cream as a base and layer the powder on top for a look that lasts all day! Peach Cloud can be used for a sun-kissed peachy look, with a shimmer cream formula and a matte powder blush. Try Velvet Rose for a pretty rose mauve flush, with a matte cream formula and a matte powder blush.

Create endless looks with Blk Cosmetics Daydream Dual Blush Palette Glow+Matte Powder (P499). It has two powder blushes (one matte and one with shimmer) with colors specifically chosen to work well when layered or mixed together. Create a peachy pink look with Dream Dahlia and a warm pink flush with Tutu Blush. Both have champagne shimmers.

They have also added new shades to the Daydream Cushion Wand (P 399 each). I thought their initial colors Cocoa (contour), Champagne (highlight), and blushes Rose (peach) and Flushed (baby pink) were a smart curation. Now they’ve added bestselling shades from their other formulas Caramel (brontour from their Color Sticks), and their Creamy All-Over Paints bestsellers Afterglow (highlight), and Beach (warm pink).

Happy Skin’s new mineral sunscreen primer makes waves

If you’re looking to try a physical sunscreen without the dreaded white cast, Happy Skin Rescue Me Mineral Sunscreen Primer SPF 50+ PA++++ (P 999) just might be for you. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched posted video reviews online: there truly is no white cast, just a healthy glow, after applying this sunscreen formulated with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide. I can see this working well even for those with sensitive skin and/or dry skin.

I know what you’re thinking: they have so many sunscreens; which one would be best for me? Well, it’s up to you, your skin’s needs, and your preferences! Happy Skin has thoughtfully created a handy guide to help you decide.

Supplement your skin care with Myra Ultimate with Astaxanthin

I recently realized that an anti-aging skin care regimen isn’t really complete without supplements. I tried a collagen drink for 30 days, and the results were undeniable. The key is to find supplements with quality ingredients!

I was looking for a vitamin E supplement, and of course Myra popped up as one of the most popular local brands. I didn’t know that their vitamin supplements came in three variants: Myra E 300 I.U., Myra E 400 I.U., and Myra Ultimate with Astaxanthin. While the first two types were recommended for ages 18 and over, Myra Ultimate was described “best for ages 35 and above, ideal for those looking for products that help reduce signs of skin aging.” Yep, that’s me! Vitamin E is combined with powerful antioxidants Astaxanthin and Lycopene–all at only P20 per capsule! This definitely seems like a great addition to my daily routine.

And that’s it for this week’s Beauty Roundup! I hope you learned something new with me. See you next time!
