Another day, another acquisition! Attention K-Beauty and skincare fans, Esteé Lauder has just acquired full ownership of Korean skincare brands Dr. Jart+ and Do The Right Thing! This move comes after major breakthroughs for the Asian brands in the market growing up to $500 million in sales just this year. As per EL, Dr. Jart+ is a perfect fit for their portfolio as their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity are what the brand believes in. This will also secure and expand EL’s market in the Asia Pacific region. We’re excited to see what changes and moves EL has for both Dr. Jart+ and Do The Right Thing in the coming months!

Baby got bank!

Just when you thought you’ve kept up with Kylie Jenner, she throws a huge curveball! It’s been confirmed that the beauty mogul has sold 51% of her company Kylie Cosmetics (which includes Kylie Skin) to COTY for $600 million! Now in case you didn’t know, COTY is the parent company of brands like Sally Hansen and COVERGIRL! Kylie and her team will still have creative control over the products and launches, but this partnership will secure further global expansion and basically world domination! The deal will be finalized in the third-quarter of 2020 and we can’t wait to see what the two companies will come up with!
