This week has been an extra crazy one for the beauty world, and we’re spilling the tea! It’s a mix of good and bad news, and some are still developing stories so we’ll probably be posting a part 2 (or more). Clinique has chosen a queen to be their first ever celebrity brand ambassador, while Ashley Graham has revealed her new babies (but no, she hasn’t given birth yet). We’ve also got the scoop on Too Faced’s two face firing, something new from Huda Beauty, Jeffree Star’s canceled tour! Happy reading!

The Mother of... Skincare?

She may be better known as the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons, but Emilia Clarke can now add Clinique Ambassador to her growing list of achievements! The actress is the first ever celebrity face of the skincare and makeup brand, and we are living for it! She is fronting the new campaigns for Clinique iD, the customizable skincare range that focuses on each individual’s skincare concerns. She is also the face of Clinique’s latest product, the Dramatically Different Moisturizing BB-Gel, a lightweight and no-fuss tinted moisturizer that’s perfect for girls on the go. Congratulations, Emilia!

Two Faced Firing

ICYMI, YouTube beauty guru NikkieTutorials officially came out as transgender in her most recent video, surprising both her fans and the world. Although the star received loads of love and support, she got some flak from Dani California, sister of Jerrod Blandino (co-founder of Too Faced Cosmetics).

California changed her Instagram bio (which has since been deleted) to say that being transgender wasn’t the only thing “she” was lying about (Nikkie isn’t mentioned but we all know what’s up). This sparked outrage from fans and led to calls to boycott the Too Faced brand. Blandino then took to social media to express his sincere apologies to Nikkie and the beauty community, stating that he and his brand have always stood for love, support, and equality. He also revealed that his sister had been fired and was no longer an employee of Too Faced. Ain’t no room for hate in 2020!

It’s never enough

It looks like Ashley Graham is popping more than just a baby soon! The model and soon-to-be mama revealed that she is launching new shades for her collection with Revlon! The Never Enough Lippies have been Ashley’s babies since 2018, and the model has since come out with several sold-out shades for the liner-lippie combo. There’s no word yet on what the new shades are, but based off of her teaser video on Instagram, we know there are going to be some stunning nudes and probably some vibrant and deep reds!

It’s #cancelledt!

#Cancelledt is definitely something we want to leave in 2019, but that’s exactly what’s going on with Jeffree Star’s European Masterclass Tour. The makeup mogul revealed on Instagram that he had to cancel his 10-day European tour with Mmmmitchell, much to the dismay of his fans and followers.

Aside from a very public breakup with his partner of 5 years, Nate, Jeffree also mentioned many other factors that made him decide to cancel the tour. From the lack of help and anxiety about leaving all his dogs, his mental and emotional state was completely frazzled and left him feeling unfit to push through. He asked fans for a bit more compassion, and ended his statement with an encouraging reminder that no matter what anyone is going through, they will be okay. Good on you, Jeffree! Here’s to more healing and love this 2020!
