Hello from the Project Vanity team! Thanks for dropping by.

An orchid fantasy: The Avon Over Nature Collection

An orchid fantasy: The Avon Over Nature Collection

Avon has been sending me amazing press kits year in and year out. I am always impressed by their latest collections and the way that they are presented to beauty writers like me. The one I received yesterday, however, takes the cake and the icing and the whole table setting. It's their new Over Nature Collection which just came out three days ago!

I said "wow" out loud the first time I opened it, and then threw in a few more audible wows while taking these pictures. I love the acrylic box  - I can definitely repurpose that! - but the products themselves look unbelievable coming from Avon. Just when I thought that I've seen everything from this brand, my dears, I am schooled.

Over Nature features a Makeup Palette (a melange of fresh eyeshadow and blush shades), the Over Nature Lipstick which contains orchid extract and wild rose oil, intimate wear with the orchid print, Necklace & Earrings Gift Set, and Only Imagine EDP.

The cosmetics are housed in a semi-glossy cardboard case much like Paul & Joe before. Do you remember that brand? They used to be available in Rustan's but then pulled out a few years ago. I loved their boldly printed cardboard lipstick cases. I even keep mine until today even if the lipstick itself is already expired! :P

That's why I'm happy that Avon had the same idea. Can't have too many of these pretty things, if you ask me!

Here are a few of the colors. In this lip look below, I layered Cherry Berry and Orchid Fantasy (last two tubes on the row above).

So there you go. I'm very excited to start using the lipsticks and the palette - will post swatches as soon as I can! For know, I'd love to know what you think of this new collection. What are you most looking forward to try?
