Stress, shift dresses, (formerly) ridiculous rompers

Today is one of those days when everything moves at a terrible speed. However I'm happy that I'm on top of things and have been able to accomplish all my tasks! I even got to step out for an Artdeco lunch - I couldn't possibly miss it as Artdeco is one of the few brands I've been using since college. There's a new collection out (called Butterfly Dream) and I quite like it.

I'm on Instagram! When I'm in the mood I go crazy documenting things

Anyway! I want to talk about stress (and a few outfits but that's gonna come in later somehow haha). My method isn't that complicated but it works because I know it's 100% true. Are you ready? I just think that everything will be over soon. They usually are.

Tory Burch bag / Zara heels / Tiangge dress / Casio watch

If something is causing me extreme amounts of pressure, stress, or anxiety I just think how it's not going to last forever. I force myself to stay calm and do what I need to do until I get through the problem. Is there any other way to solve things? Freaking out and giving up is easy but it won't get us very far.

And that's how I remain an optimistic and level-headed person even though I shouldn't be, considering my workload.

CLN dress / Ferretti pumps / NAVA denim jacket / Louis Vuitton Alma

Anyway, allow me to segue to shift dresses. :P I love these things because they're flattering and elegant. There's a stall in Fashion Market tiangge that sells ridiculously cheap shifts like that black and white number above for only P350 - I don't know the directions but just walk around and you'll see dresses like it hanging on one wall.

CLN (the shoe brand) also sells amazing shifts like the blue chevron print dress in the second outfit photo. They're a bit pricey at P1,500 to P2,500 but when you find something you really like I think the tag is more than reasonable. I can't count how many times I've worn that dress!

Folded & Hung romper / Forever 21 jacket / Ferretti wedges / Louis Vuitton Alma

And here's the final look. In my last outfit post I said that my style has settled down and I don't experiment anymore. Well, apparently that ain't writ in stone. I saw this romper from Folded & Hung last week and loved how it fit me, even though all the other rompers I've tried before look ridic on me. The fabric is also super light and absorbent which makes this piece a perfect choice now that heatwaves are striking everyday!

I'm rambling, I'm sorry. We'll be back to makeup posts tomorrow! How have you been? Wearing anything new?

Nice outfits and looks. I would love to read a clothes/shoes/bags haul post. I hope you can write one someday.

Nice outfits! Loved 1 & 3 the most. I'm very interested at Artdeco's new collection. I saw their promos at Beauty Bar when we were there during your meetup. They're packaging's really nice :)

Yeah. I bought, like, five new pieces recently. Well, that's to replace the clothes that magically disappeared from my closet. But it's crazy how I always want to wear something new!

I love you outfits! It'd be great if you'd put up post more related to clothes and shoes someday. Looking forward to it.

The colors are great for summer! The mix and match is nice too. :)

Love the nava jacket and the folded and hung romper!

Love outfit #3, perfect blend of colors. I like rompers but I dont own any because (1) its so jahe when you hit the loo and (2) I get the awkward cameltoe when I walk hehehe :))

i'm thinking if i got your zara heels and nava denim jacket you got there Liz...maybe it would really compliment. But for real i love your zara heels so unique. :)

Sexy! I like your romper but so hassle when you want to pee so I don't own one too. Haha. I bought a peplum dress recently; I know it's so 2012 but I like the fit because it hides my puson (still trying to lose the post-baby weight). I'm not a girly-girl but it's fun naman pala to dress up sometimes. Hihi

I love outfit number 3! I've been eyeing that moto jacket from F21 but I can't seem to justify the purchase, the whole price x no. of wears thing. Looks great on you tho!

I'm into skirts lately. Admittedly I don't have gams like yours, but kebs! :)

THAT ROMPER. Very summer! :)

March 14, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPaulina

That black and white dress is stunning! :) And I almost bought that CLN dress with the chevron print except in orange. They were out of my size. :(

Nice outfits! The dress in the 1st photo looks elegant, who would have thought its from tiangge pala? Parang branded. :) And I love your 3rd ootd! It looks so light and comfy. I never tried rompers and I don't know if bagay sakin.

@Khristine I also bought a peplum top just this year! I really like how it fits and it covers my tummy. :))

naexcite ako sa outfits mo i forgot to comment on art deco! they are a good brand, i just got my camouflage concealer from them this week, and i must say it does what it claims to do, ang cute din kasi bumili ako nong magnetic compact para ilagay un concealer. during the day, to prevent it from melting (sobrang init and i dont have an aircon sa apartment ko), i put it inside the ref, this will not compromise the integrity of the makeup naman noh mis liz?

im interested to check out their lipsticks!

<3 the outfits! I like the look of rompers, you can dress it down with flats or glam it up with heels. But when i have to pee, ugh!!!! Thats why I put myself in a partially dehydrated state when Im wearing one. Tiis ganda :)

I'm a silent follower Ms. Liz for the longest time. Today, I just feel like posting my comments as it is just very apt that I just posted on my blog thoughts on choosing to be happy despite being too stressed. I like your outfits in this post, and the positivities that comes with it.

Being happy can be a choice. And dressing up nicely all the time, putting some blush on that cheeks and wearing heels can significantly help a lot in brightening that mood! :)

Stress and Dresses. I like!

Zara heels!!! TDF!!!

March 15, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterManilaJen

I like shift dresses, they're comfy and a lady can look sexy in them without highlighting small bulges. In my case medyo nagbo-bloat stomach ko after a meal so when I'm in a slightly tight-fitting outfit, nahahalata.

March 17, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKris

love your lipstick shade in the last pic! :)

March 17, 2013 | Unregistered Commentergem

ang bongga lahat. but I prefer the second one..corporate chic ang peg:)

March 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterOhms

These look so stylish yet comfortable for the summer weather. That black and white dress in particular looks like it cost more than it did!
