The December Glamourbox
Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2:57PM Glamourbox, I think, raised everyone's expectations from the local beauty boxes with its first package last November. It contained a full-sized Australian mascara worth P1,000+ (which is good btw, according to Kira!), a lip palette, and various intriguing perfume samples. I'm pleased to announce that the December box also did not disappoint!
When I first opened it I thought, ok coupons, coupons, sample bottles...meh. That is, until I saw the full-sized VMV lipstick! One tube costs P1,050 at the store, and the box is only P600. I love that Glamourbox puts in one product that's full-sized and costs much, much more than the subscription fee.
I hope they continue doing it. It's not just great value for the customer's money, it's also such a pleasant thrill to receive. That's like 50% of the reason women would want a curated beauty box.
The samples inside are fairly generous. There's a toner and moisturizer from Skinfood, a 3-gram Benefit They're Real Mascara tube, House of Obagi facial wash, Issey Miyake perfume vials, Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer (5 grams), and Kosmea Rosewater Mist (25ml). I'm most interested in the mist as it smells sooo good! I like roses. :) The Benefit mascara is also a great addition as it's bound to last more than a few uses.
Btw, Glamourbox has already opened its online store so you can purchase Eye of Horus, Ofra, and Kosmea products (to name a few) should you want to go for the full sized version.
Upon closer inspection, I realized that the coupons are actually something I would actually use. The Benefit Brow Bar discount (P200 off) is handy as Benefit has a great brow service, while the 50% off from any House of Obagi Signature Treatment is pretty sweet! A signature facial at Obagi is like P2,500 or thereabouts! I've tried one before (anti-acne) and loved it. I will definitely use this coupon.

Full-sized VMV Hypoallergenics Subtle Shine Lipstick in Girl Next Door. It's a gorgeous rose MLBB shade that has a sort of lustre finish. Very soft and pretty.
So there you go! I love the December Glamourbox, and can not wait for the next one!
Addendum: I learned from a Glamourbox rep that not all December boxes have Benefit samples. It's because they only had a limited amount, and this went to the quarterly subscribers.

I agree with Gen-zel; I think Glamour box has the best beauty loot subscription. I will work harder this year so I can finally subscribe!

Their December box seems to value more than what you paid for. I tried subscribing to beauty boxes as well but the element of surprise in it no longer thrills me, as some contents in the box are not compatible to my profile or to my need. If there's one thing in the box that I would love to try, it would be the Obagi Foaming Gel. I heard good reviews about this product.

That's a lot for a beauty box worth 600php, makes me wanna subscribe for January. Glamourbox has a lot of good stuff to offer, and seems like it gets better and better every month. So far this is the best beauty box that I have seen, drooling over it again. haha

Too bad I can't sign up since I'm only 14 and I'm also too young to use branded products but I'm hoping that I could be like you too when I reached the right age to use those kind of products :) Could you recommend me some brands that will fit for a 14 year old? Those items makes me want to subcribe to Glamourbox. But I don't have space for all those new stuff every month. Might as well just buy what I really need. But one day, I definitely will.

I tried Porefessional, namimili ng foundation OR it was Revlon Colorstay na namimili ng primer.

But They're Real is good! Dump on the roots then tease, bongga! It's not lengthening though, volume lang. Pero it hardly clumps so I think that's the best part about the mascara.
Neutrogena HydroBoost Watergel naman is...gosh..aggravated my pores. like they made my pores raging mad. Remember that Pond's ad, "You can see my pores from across this room"? It made them worse than that. I'd have nightmares that when I wake up I'd have huge holes sa face up to the point na isang malaking hole na ang mukha ko. Super nakakatakot na nakakaiyak. Thank God nalang talaga for Avon Glycolic Facial..super lifesaver!

I love almost all the items in the box so after reading so many raves and reviews for Nov-Dec Box am oblige to subscribe hahaha. I go GAGA last 3rd week of December waiting for the GlamourBox Team to open the subscription for January. Voila! I was able to subscribe. So for now, I am eagerly waiting for my box ^.^
I got my December glamourbox too, and too bad it don't have any Benefit samples which I'm soo excited pa naman sana..even the Benefit Brow bar coupon :( I'm a big fan of VMV also and I'm really happy to have the full size sample of the lipstick.. I wish I subscribed to this month's box! The Benefit mascara and VMV lipstick makes this super worth it! Plus I would want to give Skin Food another try because I found them a little harsh on my skin when I used their trial sizes from a giveaway I won. My skin doesn't seem to agree with Korean skin care except for some facial washes. :(
