Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Peach

The first blush that I ever owned was from Avon, back in my first year in college. It was this peach/coral beauty under their Simply Pretty line and I loved it so much that I used it until I hit pan! It's one of the first few products that made me realize how transformative good makeup can be. :) The right color on your face can really do wonders to brighten up and bring out your features.

Anyway today I shall be writing about another great blush find: the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Peach (P299). You know me, I love glowy makeup, and this blush really brings light to the face. The peachy pink powder is nicely but not overly pigmented, so it's easy to get the right amount of color.

What I love about the product

  • Gives such a gorgeous, glowy color to the cheeks. Luminous indeed! The peach shade is subtle so it will just blend with your skin to give you this natural flush. It's best for fair to medium tones, IMHO.
  • Lasting power is pretty good at 4 hours before it starts to fade. For a low-end blush, that's not too bad!
  • The powder itself feels so well-milled, silky, and soft. No chalkiness here.
  • This shimmers are uber fine so you won't see any awkward glitter on skin.
  • Super affordable at P299 for 6.23 grams of product

What I don't like about the product

  • Avon should really rethink the packaging of their powder makeup. It's so bulky and fat! The blush itself takes only what 20% of the whole compact? The tiny brush isn't particularly nice either so it's not like people will really use it.

Recommendations

If you like glowy, illuminating makeup, then you'll love the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Peach. This blush is such a flattering shade, and also skin-enhancing because of the fine shimmer. I think it's best for fair to medium tones.

Oily girls may not like this so much, I'm afraid; just use a primer on your cheeks to keep from looking too shiny.

Verdict

Love it! This looks perfect with light pink or brown-pink lippies. It's also a nice blush for the No Makeup Makeup look. ;) Let me know what you think alright!

I love the glow it gives you! But the packaging is so wasteful. Maybe I'll buy this in pink because I don't like peach on me.

HI Ms. Liz! The color really suits you! :) I also hope you can do an article/post on how different blush color should suit different make-up looks (e.g.. day-time, nighttime, bright lip color, smokey eyes, etc). Blush color is something I really find very challenging.

It looks pinkish in the patch but when you applied it, it's peachy pala. It's interesting to know that it has shimmer which illuminates the face, you look so cute in the photo Ms. Liz. I think the lipstick matches the blush, what brand is that pala? Want to get one for myself too!

it does give you that beautiful glow... This shade reminds of the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, they look similar. and milani has that bulky packaging too but it has more product compared to the avon one.

It gives you ang healthy ng skin ko peg :)) love it! Good thing my friend is an avon lady, I'll check their brochure and check other shades too. Thanks for sharing Liz :)

I agree with the bulky packaging. I have Avon's quad eyeshadow in "Blushing Raisins" and I can't bring it to school! (Consumes a lot of space in my makeup kit) and the tool that's free from their different products are not that "useful". But as to their products, I love them! Great quality with the small amount you are paying for :> Avon is a great starter for women who wants to start their makeup journey. Teehee. :P And this blush, totally worth it! :) The shimmer is just right and is perfect on you, Ms. Liz! :) This reminds me of my current blush, Body Shop's All in One Cheek Blush in Macaroon :) And this peach blush is perfect with brown lippies :> I will definitely check the Avon store near our place :) they give this wonderful discounts. :))) and I hope to get more Avon products :>

love this shade! the color is just right for you which is nice since it can be used everyday. I have an iffy with too bright blushes before that is why I opt for pink blushes or peach hues ^^,

It is glowy nga. I totally agree with the packaging issue. I hope they re package all of their make-up products.

I like AVON blushes too, as I have the rose lustre. It's subtle and gives you that glow effect. Although it's not long lasting but it's a good buy.

My mom has this blush and I used to borrow it. It really gives a nice glow. :) I like Avon's brochure for this period. They've categorized the lipsticks and other makeup products into either for morena and mestiza women! Excited for their latest lippie. I'm looking forward to your review and swatches Ms. Liz. :)

It's such a pretty shade! I love how it gives off a 'glowing' effect. Your lipstick shade is gorgeous too.

I haven't tried Avon's blushes before and since I'm too oily, I don't prefer much glitter in blushes so I opt for matte, long lasting ones. It's got good glow on you though! :)

What a pretty blush. It gives you that glow-from-within effect! Too bad I'm oily-skinned.

Thanks for the heads up on using a primer! I've been looking for a peach colored blush for the longest time, will try as soon as possible :D
