Personalizing your wedding band
Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:33PM Considering how big a part of the average wedding they are, wedding bands are often ignored to some extent when it comes to style and beauty considerations. Of course, in these areas the engagement ring is the real star of the show, but that doesn’t mean that your wedding band has to be bland or unexciting. In fact, if you look through a collection like wedding bands at 77Diamonds you might be surprised to find a great deal of variety and customization options when it comes to your ring.

With a bit of planning and some specific thought for style, you can end up with a wedding ring that will be as unique and beautiful as your engagement ring. Here are a few specific ideas to help get you started.
1. Style – When you look through wedding bands, you may notice that their shapes and edges allow for different styles. They are not all simple bands with the same appearance, and this allows you to have some stylistic input on what your ring looks like. For example, “modern” rings tend to have flatter surfaces and more defined edges, whereas more classic or traditional rings tend to be a bit more rounded. This is a good first choice to make, as it will define how the ring looks and feels on your finger.
2. Color – Many people are also under a false impression that wedding bands only come in one or two metal options. In fact, not only can you choose the metal of your wedding band (gold, silver, platinum, titanium), but you can also choose its color. For example, if you choose a gold ring you will have the option of white gold, yellow gold, or rose gold for your ring, meaning that you really do have a great deal of control over how your ring looks and how it will match your engagement ring. Yellow and white gold tend to be the most popular options, but this is an entirely personal decision.
3. Diamonds – These days, it is also not uncommon to choose wedding bands that are set with diamonds. Of course, some women prefer a simpler metal band to go with an engagement ring that already has diamonds on it, but many do not even realize that diamonds are an option on wedding bands. Typically, a diamond set wedding band will have either three or five diamonds set along its surface, and this can add a nice touch of individuality to your ring, and really make it personal. With all three of these considerations in mind, you can truly make a unique ring design for your wedding day.

True! Wedding rings should be given as much thought as choosing the right person to marry. Simplicity is beauty, though; I once saw a beautiful platinum pair of wedding rings that emanated elegance and class with their simple but well-thought-of design. I never saw them again. Sad.
I checked out the 77Diamonds site--it's pretty nifty! Couples will find it really useful in looking at different styles for their wedding bands. I never knew that even the classic bands had different styles like in terms of the edges. I'm dreaming of a simple platinum wedding band. hehe
I've always dreamed of unique wedding bands for my future wedding (8years from now?haha). Thanks for this post, I'll have ideas what to check when my dream day comes :)
Wow! Customized rings! Well, I'll definitely consider this after 5 years?! :))))
I wonder about the prices. Im guessing it's a bit more expensive.
A great selection of some of the most popular celebrity Wedding rings, they all look great but are all so different.
