Beauty for newbies: What you need to know about personal makeup
Friday, June 29, 2012 at 8:13AM I've been beauty blogging for four years now, and in that time I've answered a lot of questions about makeup - especially ones referring to application. Some questions I've answered waaay back in the past, so I take it for granted that everyone who reads this already knows a thing or two when I review products.
But I still get a lot of inquiries from new readers (welcome, guys!) so I thought I'd compile all the basic tutorials I've done for their benefit.
Beauty Basics: What every girl needs in her makeup kit
How to apply flawless face makeup: learn how to maximize your liquid foundation and concealer to fake perfect skin (this is more for girls who need heavy coverage).
How to apply blush : blush your way to healthy-looking skin! I also included shade options per skin tone.
How to shade eyebrows : This is a video tutorial of how I fix up my eyebrows. I use a pencil and a powder product. You can also check out a photo tutorial of how I use a pen eyebrow liner here.
How to apply basic eyeshadows : Enhance and contour your eyes with this simple eyeshadow tutorial!
How to apply eyeliner: Define your eyes with the perfect line.
How to apply mascara : Lashes are the drapes to the windows of your soul. ;) Dress them up using a wand of mascara!
I've also done tutorials on contouring and hiding dreadful eyebags. If you have more tutorial requests, please let me know and I'll see what I can do! Making tutorials are so fun, that's why.

Wow! A compilation, thanks for this Liz! You have no idea how helpful these tutorials are for me (and other newbies). And since they're all compiled now, it's now easier to refer to them. I'm sure I can sport a great make up anytime just as long as I have these notes from you! :)
Great compilation Ms Liz! Perhaps you should just include a sidebar link to your tutorials or include a FAQ tab aside from the Ask Liz tab... But I'm grateful that you don't get mad at new readers who'd ask repeated questions. Other bloggers get mad and expect their new readers to backread everything. You're so nice :)

Hello Liz! Can you recommend a skin care product that will help minimize my puffy eyebags? Or anything that will cover them up? I hope you can recommend something that is a bit on the affordable side, pretty please with chocolate sprinkles on top? Thank you and more power to you and your blog! =)
I can see that you have lotsa make up in your dresser. Hmmm..im envious. lols. I dont mind buying make-ups, I actually own a few. But some of them goes into the bin because they get expired and due to non-usage for quite some time. Ive watched almost make up tutorials in you tube especially if I need to attend special ocassions, but the problem is, it looks a LOT difference when I do it on my own. Some times I just say to myself that ladies who have this special kind of talent are really GIFTED. I just wish that I would be able to learn, even at least one make up tutorial from you and perfect it. That would be nice eh :)

I'm in my twenties and I know nada about makeup. Still a lip stain/gloss and pressed powder girl, but just very recently I decided to get out of my comfort zone. I thought only makeup artists had that much makeup. >.< I'm so utterly clueless. Thank goodness for blogs like this. I don't want to waste money on stuff that I don't need pala. And I need tutorialssss!
