The sisterhood of traveling makeup

I just realized - I took oodles of photos of my makeup and skincare during my out-of-town trip the other week, but I only have two or three shots of myself to show for it. They weren't even good! I guess I just don't like taking photos when I'm busy doing something on a vacation. Next time though, perhaps I should take more just for posterity. :P

Anyway, I want to show you what I brought with me on the trip. I rather overpacked buuut at least I knew I was prepared for whatever! Hope you like this little show and tell. I brought products that I feel suited the demands of summer - bright colors on the lips, light shades for eyes, and warm cheek colors. For the face base, I just brought a long-wearing concealer + a light, illuminating powder foundation. It's too hot for cream or liquid types.

I housed my cosmetics in this neat Rustan's pouch that Pond's gave it to me a few months ago. I like that it's big but slim, roomy enough to fit in lots of stuff while keeping them from bouncing around.

These palettes are tiny, but since they're so pigmented, it'll be a while before I use them up. Shu Uemura Celestial Garden Palette in Light, Bobbi Brown palette, Tony Moly lip palette, Benefit Brow Zings, Cinema Secrets Concealer

Eye definition products consisted of the Shu Uemura Eye Crayon in Misty Brown and Soft Brown and Paul & Joe Eye Crayon in 01. I brought some bright lippies as well as moisturizing, sheer pinks. Sleek MakeUP True Color Lipstick in Mystic, Colour Collection lippies in Angel Berry and Plumberry, Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait, Clinique Almost Lipstick in Shy Honey

The Benefit Hervana Blush and Benefit Cha Cha Tint are summer staples for me. Also can't live without the Clinique Airbrush Concealer!

The Benefit Watt's Up! Highlighter delivers an instant glow, while the  Clinique Perfectly Real Radiant Skin Compact Makeup feels super light on my face while still giving me the coverage I want. Oh and you know how much I love my Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler!

I've written about my my current skincare routine, of course. Sunplay is another must-have when I'm out and about. You'll spot a Kiehl's Ultra Light UV Defense sunscreen because I'm trying it for now. :D

Travel sizes are <3 !

And that's it. Hope you liked my little show and tell! How about you, what beauty goodies do you like to bring with you when you travel?
