Infinite possibilities: Shu Uemura's Color Atelier

Last Wednesday, Shu Uemura invited beauty bloggers to check out their latest product: a customizable palette! They also introduced new eyeshadows and Glow On blush colors, collectively called the Color Atelier. All these are designed to accommodate any look you can think of, since the palette can carry a combination of four eyeshadows or two eyeshados + one Glow On. It also comes in singles and doubles.

The palette itself is pretty neat since it's functional and no-fuss (no need for magnets or adhesives), but are you ready for the REALLY good news? The single eyeshadows are only P695! I know, still steep, but compared for other high-end brands here in the Philippines, that price is very, very affordable. They're the kind of things you'd love to collect since the colors and quality are just lovely.

Ok I am gushing too much. I can't help it. I have a couple of well-loved Shu Uemura items (a Glow On blush and a palette) so yes I'm very excited to add a few more. When I went to their Rockwell branch, I was like a kid in a candy store. I checked out all the makeup and agonized about the colors I want to put in my own palette!

There was no question: I wanted four eyeshadows. I already have two Glow Ons so a blush is out of the question at the moment. I wanted to get colors I don't have yet, and they also need to be able to work together and alone. Yes, those demands are quite specific, so I had a hard time choosing.

Check out all these gorgeous shades. There are 65 eyeshadow colors available while there are 28 for blushes.

I really wanted to get the shimmery dark green and the gold orange (beside the silver), but unfortunately both are out of stock. The new shades we're released just last Saturday, but many of them are already sold out. In any case, I hope to get them once they're available since they'll go well with the shades I picked.

IR Soft Gold 370, IR Soft Yellow Green 435, ME Soft Yellow 336, ME Soft Blue 655

I will do a full review of the palette and eyeshadows as soon as I get to play with them for a but. As early as now though, I can say that they're pretty awesome. The palette is steep at P1,095, but if you want to collect, you can easily put the eyeshadows (P695 each) in a magnetic palette.

Here are the retail prices for a full quad palette:

Quad case + 4 eyeshadows = P3,875

Quad case + 2 Glow Ons = P3,285

Quad case + 1 Glow On + 2 Eyeshadows = P3,580

Oh, I want to share what I bought - I got an eyebrow pencil in Walnut Brown. I didn't really intend to buy anything, but Patrick (their resident MUA) demonstrated it on me and I was sold ASAP. Review to follow as usual.

Here are more pics from the afternoon. The usual beauty blogging crew was there so it was a fun affair, guaranteed!
