Have you been under the sun lately? IT'S CRAZY. I'm trying to remember if it has ever been this hot before, but I can't recall anything in particular. Wearing sunblock, shades, or an umbrella is no help at all because the heat burns as long as you're outside. I just try not to go out at all.
But sadly that's not an option. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! Last Saturday, I went out to host Project Vanity's second Clinique Party after holing up in the condo all Friday working. Needless to say, the Clinique Party was a blast! A lot of girls turned up and they seemed happy with their au naturel makeovers. Hay, I have to say, I really enjoy what I do.
Anyhoo, here's what I wore that day:
I used a bunch of new products in this look, mostly from Majolica Majorca's newest collection called Sugary Trap. I love, love how all the products in the collection are designed for warmer skintones. Yes, even the pink eyeshadow palette looks good! I've had trouble finding flattering pinks that are not too cool, but the Majo palette is The One.
I also used the VMV Ooh-La-Lash Mascara for the first time here, and I'm happy to report that there's zero smudging. As usual, in-depth reviews soon.
Face: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, Shiseido Supplist foundation, MAC Studio Finish concealer, Guerlain Meteorites in Teint Dore
Eyes: In2It eyebrow powder, TFSI primer, Majo Jeweling Eyes palette in BR631 (bronzes and golds), Majo Automatic Eyeliner in RD605 (reddish black), Paul & Joe Eye Crayon in 01 (shimmery white on the waterline), VMV Ooh-La-Lash Volumizing Mascara
Cheeks: Majolica Majorca Puff De Cheek blush in Apricot Macaron (OR302)
Lips: Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Coral, Majo Rouge Majex in PK102 (clear baby pink)
What do you think? I think I'll be sticking with warm colors for the meantime, they make me look a lot better than cooler colors. Skintone really has a lot to do with which makeup looks best on you!
Before I leave, I have to share this:
I've been wearing these shoes from Schu for the past few days. My feet never hurt in these, and I've been walking quite a lot lately!
