VMV Hypoallergenics Velvet Matte Lipstick in Coquette

I already reviewed the VMV Hypoallergenics Velvet Matte Lipstick (P1,000), so this time I just want to share this new lovely shade I got! It's called Coquette, and it's absolutely gorgeous. As in. It's a matte red with a pink undertone. I like that you can wear it as an intense red for evenings out, but if you just use it as a stain - wow! Very pretty.

Okay enough superlatives, see for yourself.

As with all matte lipsticks, Coquette can be a little drying so always wear lip balm underneath. To use it as a stain, dab on balm, then swipe a thin layer of the lipstick on your bottom lip. Then just mash your lips together until the color is distributed evenly. Simple and idiot-proof! You can also do this trick with your other dark or intense lipsticks to reveal a new shade. ;)

Not your ordinary red

Worn as a stain. It becomes a nice pink, everyday shade. It stays on all day, too!

Overall, great lipstick! Try other shades. I have Kitten, and it's a crowd favorite.

Tried VMV lipsticks yet? How did you find it?

Haven't tried VMV lipsticks pa. But looking at your posts about vmv lipsticks gives a spark of curiosity in me. :)) They look awesome. :D Though I think i love the kitten better! :) (I love shelly's kitten song too!!! LOL.) Kitten is a nice MLBB lippy. :D

I haven't really tried VMV lipsticks yet... but somehow, I am tempted to try them - specially the kitten shade :D

I love the color! Especially when worn as a stain! For me a teacher like me, I cannot wear too bright or too dark lipsticks so I just resort to tinted balm. I want to try this one but too pricey for me. Maybe imma splurge as a birthday gift for myself. =)

So far, I have one vmv lipstick but it is not matte. It is called Subtle Shine Lipstick in Giddy. On the name itself it sure is "subtle" because its color is sheer. When worn, it looks kind of like the shade when you used coquette as a stain. Very nice for those who really want just a hint of color on their lips. And it also doesn't dry my lips, well.. I really do not know if that is the work of the lip balm I wear under it but I guess it has more moisture than matte ones:-)

oh and by the way, I bought mine for 750php only because whenever there is a mall wide sale they put their products at 25% off ;-)

Haven't worn VMV brand, but the red lipstick is appealing. I should try this! Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE the formula of VMV's Velvet Matte Lipsticks. I actually think VMV's lipsticks are way better than MAC's. I'm not sure why Filipinos even bother to hoard MAC here. Both VMV and MAC lipsticks cost 1,000 pesos locally. However, MAC lipsticks are $14.50 in the US while VMV lipsticks are $24. We really should be grateful for -- and taking full advantage of -- having access to a superior product at a cheaper price! I do have to say that MAC does come up with some pretty cool colors. Like Pink Nouveau and Rebel! :)
