Hello from the Project Vanity team! Thanks for dropping by.

Kustie Strawberry Body Scrub Jam and Body Butter

Who can say no to "all-natural" beauty products? I know I can't! So when Kustie came out in malls, I was excited. Kustie is an affordable, easily-accessible "all-natural" brand that seemed to perform well according to blog reviews.

Let's move on to the actual quality and performance of this body scrub and moisturizer!

What I like about the Strawberry Kustie Body Scrub Jam

  • It looks just like strawberry jam. Cute!
  • Does a good job of scrubbing without being too abrasive on the skin.
  • Comes with a foil seal, so you can be sure that the product is fresh.
  • Affordable at P349/200ml
  • Easily available at Watsons, SM Beauty Department store, Ever Gotesco department store, St Lucia and other major retail outlets.

What I don't like

  • Strong chemical, soapy scent mixed with the strawberry fragrance. Not the best combination.

Neutral

  • If you feel that the jar is unhygienic, simply use a plastic spoon or spatula to scoop out the product. Double-dipping problem solved!

What I like about the Strawberry Kustie Body Butter

  • Moisturizes well.
  • Has a soft, strawberry scent that's not overpowering. It has undertones of caramel. Really lovely.
  • Also comes with a foil seal to ensure the freshness of the product.
  • Affordable at P299/200ml
  • Easily available at Watsons, SM Beauty Department store, Ever Gotesco department store, St Lucia and other major retail outlets.

What I don't like

  • Takes some time to absorb on my skin. It also doesn't completely settle. I reckon this heavy moisturizer is best for those with dry skin.

Neutral

  • See above comments on the jar

Verdict

The products perform well for the price. I wish that they will reformulate the scent of the Strawberry Body Scrub Jam though! It's quite distracting.
