Behind the scenes on Homepage (and FOTD)

Last week, I had the pleasure of being a guest for Net 25's morning show called Homepage. I talked about the fashion trends for 2011 and, needless to say, I had so much fun. The hosts, especially Ivy, were super nice and accommodating. There was no room to be shy! Of course, the researchers Steph (who invited me) and Blueberry (yes that's her name!) made sure that I felt welcome. It definitely made my trip from The Fort to far away Quezon City worth it.

This is my third time to be on TV. I think I'm getting the hang of it, lol. The first two times were embarrassingly awkward. Anyway, here's a photo diary of what transpired last Wednesday!

Getting ready

Starting! In my mind I'm saying "Keep your back straight, Liz!" Haha.

Chatting like old pals

After the interview, I got to talk to Ivy a bit. She's also a UP graduate and didn't really have any plans to work in television, but when she auditioned as a news anchor for the network, she got in! It's like the job picked her. Then we chatted a bit about fashion, ukay-ukay, in particular. I mentioned that my whole outfit costs only P60! Yes, P60, not including the Charles & Keith booties and SM belt. The skirt is P30 while the top is also P30.

Now that I mention it, I miss going to thrift shops regularly. Since I'm not part of Ukay Manila anymore, my trips are few and far between. I really love ukay-ukay and the endless possibilities that these clothes present. Hm. Maybe I should go back to selling them? What do you think?

Dressing room

And now I leave you with an FOTD:

Face: NARS Sheer Glow foundation, MAC Studionfinish concealer, Ellana mineral finishing powder

Cheeks: Shu Uemura Glow On in Amber, MAC Harmony for the contour

Lips: Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Coral

Eyes: In2It eyebrow kit, Too Faced Shadow Insurance as eyeshadow base, MAC All That Glitters, MAC Wedge, MAC Satin Taupe, MAC Femme Fi, MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, Clinique Lash Power Mascara, Paul & Joe Eye Crayon in 01 for the waterline
